INCUBUS- SERPENT TEMPTATION (Review by Varg The Mighty )

The magnum opus of American Thrash Metal band Incubus has recently been rereleased, and so we shall review it.
This masterpiece and Thrash Metal classic includes everything a good Death Thrash album should have: simple, nearly crossover riffs, 4 note solos, low recording quality and mercilessly pounding drums.
If you add to all of this a legendary voice in the style of Sarcofago or Schizophrenia-era Sepultura, you will get this incredible album. Although they were very innovative (like with the use of an only guitar break before entering a full blast), it seems like this light in the age of decay of Thrash Metal has gotten quite forgotten. Hopefully with this rerelease it will get some more attention, although it may never achieve all the one it deserves, since they should be as famous as Sepultura or even Demolition Hammer (which aren’t able to achieve such high levels of perfect Thrash).
I would recommend listening to this album, but you probably already have a thousand times (or else you have no idea of good Thrash Metal). If you’re interested in hearing just a single song out of it, I would recommend “Sadistic Sinner” or the title track. This is the perfect music to start a moshpit at your own home and remember the good old times when Metal was much better and more simple.
