First of all, this project has absolutely nothing of metal, so you mustn’t listen to it expecting that. I first thought it would be some sort of imitation of modern Enslaved or maybe even Kampfar, but this has nothing to do with it. In fact, it doesn’t have any similitude to Black Metal neither.
This EP sounds more like Pop Rock, with a clean guitar so low it can hardly be appreciated and sometimes some extra instruments similar to but not entirely flutes that give it the folk tints. This is very soft, maybe similar to a very soft ballad of Killing Joke or The Mission or even Oasis.
With this said, the music is quite interesting, even if it’s very badly catalogued. You can hear some emotional yet not remotely strong vocals in these 4 ballads, which have much more potential to be better heard and appreciated by a public different to the metal scene.
If you’re into Pop Rock ballads but also kind of enjoy Nordic Mythology, then you may like this project, but if you’re looking for minimally extreme music then this is not what you’re searching for.
