DECAYED FLESH – ETERNAL MISERY (Review by Varg The Mighty )

Indonesian Brutal Death Metal band Decayed Flesh have recently released their debut album “Eternal Misery”.
Starting with an ominous intro that could belong also to a Black, Thrash or any Extreme Metal album, you will soon get crushed by a pounding guitar very similar to Swedish Death Metal instead of the much more common American approach.
Nevertheless, once the drums and vocals come in, you will definitely find out how much of a Brutal Death album this is. These drums have all the aggressiveness needed in the genre, and then the vocals are also pretty common, luckily omitting the pig shrieks that usually make the music worse and only using a normal guttural voice. Maybe this album would be much more interesting if the guitars had more importance, since the riffs on this album is the most interesting thing of all, especially on “Abyss Of Misery”.
I recommend this album to any fan of Brutal Death Metal, since it’s a quite decent and common album of the genre. Maybe in future albums they are able to add some more uniqueness, but this Full-Length is a great and merciless debut.
