HOMICIDE – LEFT FOR DEAD (Review by Varg The Mighty )

Today’s review is of Canadian Thrash Metal band Homicide’s comeback album, “Left For Dead”.
This album doesn’t sound like any Canadian Thrash band, but more like the American counterpart, especially like Exodus, Testament or Toxik. Nevertheless, you can also appreciate how it isn’t an American band playing this style, but is instead from another country. This makes the band also be very similar to Xentrix.
This album sounds nothing like something modern, but instead brings back the memories of the best days of Thrash, maybe more specifically the late 80’s. Together with the catchy choruses and mosh-inducing riffs, you also have those cool and simple solos that instead of displaying virtuosity they show aggressiveness combined with a love of rock and roll.
This band brings portrays all that Thrash used to be before its death, and with the current revival they don’t seem misplaced giving some old-school vibes between all of the new and more technical bands that seem to forget the initial concept of the genre.
If you like American Thrash Metal, then you will surely love this album.
