THE MINER´S SONS

THE MINER´S SONS is the new Project by Ángel Tal, guitarist of the acclaimed Asturian band Los Tal (Revelation Group at the 2016 Amas Awards), with three albums already under his belt: “Los Tal” (2014), “Elemental ”(2015) and“ Colegas ”(2017), and which have had an outstanding impact on all national critics, being one of the groups that is betting the most in Asturias to create their own material.

With the album THE MINER´S SONS, Ángel accompanied by a group of excellent Asturian musicians, delves into the fields of the purest Country Rock with Pop touches ... the spirit of Poco, CSN & Y, Eagles, James Taylor, Van Morrison or the very same The Betales, appear and disappear through the 10 tracks of the album that are, let's say, a real treat for our ears.

On the other hand, with this debut album, Ángel sings, which is not new, since in all of Los Tal's albums, the musician reserved a theme to sing himself.
The album is full of acoustic sounds. Thus, acoustic guitars, mandolins and slide guitars roam freely throughout all the songs, all this together with well-built electric guitars, which marry the acoustic part in a sublime way. Cuts like "I Hate With All of my Love", "Comin 'so Strong", "Hey" or "Take Your Time" take us through that terrain from beginning to end. In front of these, we find some pop  with orchestral arrangements of those that “no longer are made” (“Try to Understand” and “Can´t Stay Any Longer”) that are reminiscent of the most sympathetic McCartney, or even Leo Sayer, Albert Hammond or any of the many balladeers from the '70s.

In short: Timeless Rock well done and well produced, with an outstanding commitment to compositions, precious and simple at the same time, that will surely hook you at the first listen.
