DISGUSTING PERVERSION – ETERNITY OF DEATH ( Review by Varg The Mighty )

Today’s review is of German Death Metal band Disgusting Perversion’s debut album.
This is a blunt display of Death Metal that doesn’t really need to bring the speed to the maximum to prove their point, but they instead keep a tempo similar to the one of Obituary or Autopsy while sometimes even leaning into Death Grind ever so slightly.
The album starts with an enjoyable song (“Cosmic Circle”), and contains other interesting tracks like “Dead Man’s Face” or “The Forgotten Grave”, but mostly the album contains some technical levels that, while not being the most complex, sort of break the Death Metal essence without fully replacing it with that of Technical Death Metal and staying somewhere in between. A perfect example of this is the title track, which leans towards the concepts of Death or Carcass without fully leaving behind their potentially interesting simplistic style. Nonetheless, the vocals certainly add some difference to the album, since they kind of lean towards the Polish way of singing. The whole album isn’t really that great but there surely are some decent songs.
I recommend this album to fans of Swedish, Polish or American Death Metal and Technical Death Metal. My rating is of 8/10.
