Muán - Progressive Rock ( Colombia)

The project was born at the beginning of the 2000s, before it was an instrumental progressive rock group called DNA, which over time were writing lyrics and looking for a singer, there was a change of members who left and others entered, Juan Francisco Lozano always has been the engine of the project who came up with the idea of making progressive fusion rock, which later in 2007 was transformed into what today is Muan.
The members at the beginning Muân, were Daniel Rodrigo Troncoso on drums who recorded the percussions on what is being planned to be the album, and Andrés Ernesto Gómez on bass, who recorded the bass on the same project. Andrés, due to work reasons, left for Peru in 2015 and Daniel retired due to other commitments that did not allow him to continue in the band in the same year. Three singers have passed through the band, the first was Ricardo Arce who left for work commitments, then there was Gustavo Barrera Ex-Vertigo (of whom some voices have been recorded so far on the album and is the author of the lyrics of towards you), then decided to go other ways ...
All this had generated instability in the project, mainly because of not having a permanent singer in the band, delaying the production process due to the vocal sessions.

At the studio and recording room (Genoma Produccion Sonora) that Juan Francisco Lozano has had during these years, in 2011 Zoociedad arrived; band that rehearsed in the studio and over time, they decided to record two singles under the production of Juan Francisco Lozano, made in 2013. One day they were in a vocal recording session, Juan Dario Ovideo, began to warm up his voice with a A piece by Rubén Blades, which caught Juan Francisco's attention and therefore suggested that if he joined Muán, Juan accepted. At that time, Daniel and Andrés were still there, with this group Muán had a couple of presentations, then Andrés left for Peru and soon after, Daniel retired.
With this situation, only Juan Dario Ovideo and Juan Francisco Lozano remained, who proposed to Harol Bajistade Zoociedad play in Muán and later he would do the same with Carlos Alberto Guerrero, since 2014 this is Muán's current line-up.

The musical influences of the group are very varied due to the different musical experiences of the members, so it is better to highlight the result that each musician achieves in the sound of the band, which has been a collective laboratory in the expressive and sonorous search of each one .
Likewise, the lyrics and the music of the group are encoded to achieve an effect of individual appropriation of the listener and their interpretation and meaning; However, in the group's latest works, the lyrics can take a turn towards a very simple and direct message that seeks to rescue the everyday language of words in their Colombian context.
