NECRODEATH – NERAKA ( Review by Varg The Mighty )

Today’s review is of Italian Black Thrash Metal band Necrodeath’s new EP.
These veterans of extreme metal have returned with an EP consisting of 3 new songs, a live track and a cover.
As usual, the new tracks are great, being Black Thrash at its highest extreme with hints of Death Metal and a dark touch with slower passages that most bands don’t even dare to attempt to do (the track where these slower obscure parts are more present is “Petrify”). The band has the fastest kind of Thrash in the likes of Slayer or Kreator combined with hints of Black and Death and powerful female vocals that make it even heavier. It is clear that they were pioneers of Extreme Metal, and on this EP they prove once again their veteran capabilities. They are also able to demonstrate their live talent with their classic “Flame Of Malignance” and to show their creative side with an unexpectedly evil cover of Dead Kennedys’ “California Über Alles”. While only being an EP, this is a very solid release.
I recommend this album to fans of Thrash Metal (especially German Thrash), Black Metal, Death Metal and Black Thrash Metal. My rating is of 9,5/10.
