NIGHTBREAK – WICKED ANGEL ( Review by Varg The Mighty )

Today’s review is of American Heavy Metal band Nightbreak’s second album, since it will be rereleased with its new cover on December 11th.
This release is a nice combination of classic Heavy Metal and Glam Rock with a touch of modernity. Keeping it all very American, some songs will remind you of Aerosmith or Dokken (like “Missing You”), others have touches of Mötley Crüe, especially of the last albums (like “Dangerous”), others are straightforward Heavy Metal like the title track, others even have a slight touch of Death Metal (like “Long Way Down”) and finally you have a curious heavy cover of Michael Jackson’s “Beat It”.
Thanks to an adaptable voice, twin melodies, common but not bad riffs, good originality and some constant hint of 90s Hard Rock bands like Mr. Big or Extreme, this band has delivered a decent album that isn’t really nothing incredible but is able to be enjoyed by old-school and newer fans of Hard Rock and Heavy Metal.
I recommend this album to fans of Heavy Metal, 80s & 90s Hard Rock, Glam Rock and Modern Heavy Metal. My rating is of 8,5/10.
