DAWN OF TYRANTS – GENOCIDE SUPREMACIST ( Review by Varg The Mighty )

Today’s review is of Canadian Black Death Metal band Dawn Of Tyrants’ debut album.

This band really has an old-school feeling to it, and the demo recording quality only enhances this to the point in which it may remind of any 90’s OSDM album, perhaps with the influence of Finnish Death Metal in there but especially with some great riffs in the style of Possessed.

Although they could perfectly be confused with any other original Death Metal band, the difference they have decided to implement is a slight hint of Black Metal into their compositions, one that is subtle but in tracks like “Tongues Of Madness” it becomes quite more prominent, sometimes to the point they actually resemble a pure Black Death Metal band. This album is pretty enjoyable if you like Extreme Metal, but the best songs in my opinion are the title track, “Here Comes Death” and “Razors At The Throats Of Redemption”.

I recommend this album to fans of OSDM and Black Death Metal. My rating is of 8,5/10.
