DRITTMASKIN reveal first track from forthcoming new EDGED CIRCLE album

Today, the strange 'n' singular Drittmaskin reveal the new single "Takk, Recovery." The track is the first to be revealed from the band's highly anticipated second album, Svartpønk, set for international release on September 7th via Edged Circle Productions. Hear Drittmaskin's "Takk, Recovery" in its entirety as well as see a video for it HERE.

Drittmaskin truly fail to fit in anywhere. Not because they are so amazingly genre-fluid. Not at all. Mostly because Grindadrap’s voice is intensely painful, and their playing is incredibly out of tune and out of time.

After being incomprehensibly picked up by the hugely successful underground label Edged Circle, LLC of ex-Immortal heavyweight mastermind Iscariah, Drittmaskin's first album, Sosial Prolaps, rocketed into an involuntary and immensely triumphant stint (exaggeration) crowned by the song "Punkeboms," a confusingly anthemic and surprising mishmash of punk and black metal. The singer, Grindadrap, supposedly treated the song as an off-cast and never intended the song to be released, claiming the song would off-rail the true intent of his somewhat blurry vision for the band.

Fueled by their intense disgust and autistic fixation on the stale and dead Norwegian metal and punk scene, Drittmaskin spent the course of 2019 and 2020 attempting to ruin and distress the punk and metal scene of the Norwegian Capitol through a series of concerts. They embarrassingly failed and returned to their home in Bergen swearing not to resurface until a new batch of songs were ready. And thus, the recording of Svartpønk commenced, nearly putting the final nail in the coffin for this frail congregation.

Norwegian for "Blackpunk," Drittmaskin's Svartpønk is a cascade of kicks in the crutch of various insignificant musicians, posers, punks, metalheads, metalhead bloggers, gatekeepers, vinyl collectors, and conservatives. Self-recorded and self-mixed, the band at least felt confident in this final nail in the coffin to get Joel Grind from Toxic Holocaust to master the whole thing. And of course, cover artwork again by the amazing Wooden Cyclops.

You want Drittmaskin? You can't handle DrittmaskinSvartpønk is what you get, and what you deserve!
