Today’s review is of Spanish Industrial Metal band Mind Driller’s new album.
This album incorporates 3 new tracks, 3 remixes and 3 instrumental versions. Firstly, the new songs prove they are still as fresh as when they started, with highly electronic sounds that don’t really drown the guitars while creating convenient atmospheres, sometimes quite extreme (like on “Prophecy”), or sometimes quite ethereal (like on “The Last Drop” or “The Game”).
Then, the remixes display classic songs reimagined quite well, giving them a new approach. Finally, the instrumental versions show how they are still a good project even with a lack of vocals (that on the other songs is a good combination of male and female with apt contrasts). Throughout the album there is a very German feeling that also makes it sound like good Industrial Metal.
I recommend this album to fans of Industrial Metal. My rating is of 8,5/10.
