ASH TO DUST – DEMONS WITHIN (Review by Varg The Mighty )

Today’s review is of American Thrash Metal band Ash To Dust’s second album.

This release is as if Death met Groove Metal in a rather technical Thrash Metal intersection, producing pretty good songs like “What Doesn’t Kill Us”, “Em Evas” or the lengthy title track. But their sonority doesn’t stop there, instead they have also implemented deep instrumental tracks and ballads, together with the epic and Manowar inspired “Mother May I”.

This complex full-length has been done with the help of a few special guests, and in general displays a decent amount of talent. Considering how diverse and dynamic it is without completely abandoning Extreme Metal, this album may be appealing to enjoyers of basically any Thrash subgenre.

I recommend this album to fans of Thrash Metal. My rating is of 8,5/10.
