NERGARD – ETERNAL WHITE ( Review by Varg The Mighty )

Today’s review is of Norwegian Symphonic Metal band Nergard’s upcoming album, out on May 21st.

This album implements a really vast amount of symphonic elements, making the release worthy of an epic cinematic helping, so the release may be quite enjoyable to fans of Avantasia and modern Therion.

Aided by numerous special guests (including Tim Ripper Owens), some songs such as “Beneath Northern Skies” adopt a style that leans highly towards Power Metal, achieving a well explored yet good combination. Thanks to a talented composition and the mixing of numerous outstanding vocal performances, the full-length is able to narrate very well the concept intended (the Carolean Death March of 1719). Other songs I personally highlight are “From the Cradle to the Grave” and “God Forgive My Haunted Mind”.

I recommend this album to fans of Symphonic Metal and Power Metal. My rating is of 8/10.
