Mighty Music

Music industry is constantly changing the game. If we want to keep up, to survive in this business, we must be constantly changing and evolving. And it's easy to lose grip, to drift direction if we don't have a clear vision and a steady strategy of what we want to achieve.

We wouldn't be where we are today, working with bands like Tygers Of Pan Tang, Blitzkrieg and artists such as Mike Tramp and Marco Mendoza if we wouldn't have kept up with the constant changes of the music industry. Sometimes we hate how it all works, but there's one thing that we never lost the passion for and keeps us moving forward all the time: music.

Our ability to still be excited AF when we get the masters of the new Lucer album, sign a viking metal Danish legend such as Svartsot or hear Mike Tramp will be the special guest in the next The Dead Daisies tour is, at the end of the day, what kept us here all these years. Keeps us working late nights on weekends and still be there in the office in the early Monday morning. And be sure it feels damn good to have you on that side doing this ride with us. And what a hell of a ride.

Svartsot signs to Mighty Music

Although it is now quite a while since SVARTSOT has released new material, the band is still very much alive and kicking. In the interim since 2015’s Vældet, the beer-soaked folk metallers have been active on the live scene in Denmark and abroad, including appearances at various major festivals as well as at the prestigious 70000 Tons Of Metal cruise in 2019. After a change of bassist and the decision to shelve an album’s worth of material in 2017/18, the idea of releasing a collection of traditional folk songs that have inspired the band, reworked in Svartsot’s characteristic style, was spawned.

The original idea was to release this fifth album, entitled “Kumbl” (an old Danish word meaning ‘monument’ or ‘memorial’), in 2020 to coincide with Svartsot’s 15th anniversary. However, due to various practicalities, the album was first recorded—by none other than the band’s drummer and up-and-coming producer, Frederik Uglebjerg (www.uglebjerg.com)—during the pandemic. The release also marks the band’s first collaboration with Danish metal label, Mighty Music.

After a long period of concerts absence, rock'n'roll veteran MIKE TRAMP will resume international touring, supporting super-rock group The Dead Daisies in Europe in February and March 2022. The 25 date tour will have stops in 15 different countries and will see Tramp performing the songs of White Lion, which he led between 1983 and 1991, featuring Marcus Nand.

Mike Tramp has recently released the solo career spawn compilation "Everything Is Alright". In March, Mike has also contested the Dansk Melodi Grand Prix (the Danish song contest that gives access to the Eurovision Song Contest) with the song "Everything Is Alright".

Lucer: new album out in January 2022

Foto by Klaus Rudbæk

On January 28th, LUCER is back with their third album “The New World”!

On “The New World”, the pure rock sound that many know from Lucer’s debut album is accompanied by both electrobeats and sync effects - and that is exactly the common thread throughout the album. It’s the sound of rock a la 2022, and a band that has really found their DNA.

“The New World" will be released by Mighty Music in CD, LP (grey vinyl, limited to 300 units) and digital formats on January 28th, 2022. Pre-orders up now at this link.

Freak Of Nature deluxe reissues

FREAK OF NATURE was Mike Tramp's band creation just after White Lion disbanded. The sound was arguably darker and harder than what Tramp was known for from White Lion, but Freak Of Nature, completed by bassist Jerry Best, guitarists Kenny Korade and Dennis Chick, and drummer Johnny Haro, released two studio albums and one demos and outtakes collection to much fan praise and press attention, making hard rock history.

Now, years after being absent from the market, Mighty Music will re-release all three Freak Of Nature albums: "Freak Of Nature" (1993), "Gathering Of Freaks" (1994), and "Outcasts" (1998) in several collectors editions, both in digipack CD and coloured vinyl with restored artwork and remastered.

MHA "Dominate You" single

"Dominate You" is the debut solo single from vocalist Michael H. Andersen, mainly known from metal bands Withering Surface and Thorium. The song is a tribute to the women of the 90s. Those who dared and those women who cared. Those who had a tattoo made on their lower backs. Sexy stuff. Still sexy when you see those women on the beach with those wonderful tattoos. This song is MHAs way to give back to the women of the 90s. "Dominate You" is inspired by Finnish 90s rock (bands like Sentenced, Charon and 69 Eyes) added a big dose of Billy Idol. Featuring MHAs daughter Elizabeth on co-vocals.

Target Group release schedule Q1-2022

As we get close to the end of 2021, the next year is already very present in our minds, as we solve the release puzzle for the first quarter of 2022. There is no other way to put it: next year will be our best year ever, and it seems that all our work until now was done to prepare it. A solid mix of established names such as Tygers Of Pan Tang, Vulcano, Svartsot, Metal Cross and Nervochaos, with a fresh stream of new blood and talent present in younger bands such as Creeping Flesh, Violence, As I May and Tersivel.

All good reasons for 2022 being a great year. Let's make sure it happens.
