Today’s review is of Spanish Hard Rock band Pinball Wizard’s latest EP.
Completely capturing the sound of the 80’s with some notable modernity included, this EP mostly sounds like early Guns n’ Roses without any extravagant solos needed to prove a point and a slight keyboard in the background occasionally to create the right vibe. Added to the nice riffs are particularly harsh female vocals that fit perfectly with the music and that gives it a good singularity.
They also have a style that is very similar to Glam Rock, even if it leans mostly to Hard Rock. The song where this is more apparent is “Crazy Horse”, the best out of the whole EP. On other songs, the sound reminds us more of the 70’s, with some clear Santana influences like on “Blah Blah Blah”. Despite the short length of the EP, it is very diverse with talent displayed without the need of bombastic show-offs but with decent confidence that makes us travel through diverse realms of Rock music without getting lost in anything progressive or boring.
I recommend this album to fans of 80’s Hard Rock, 70’s Rock and Glam Rock. My rating is of 8,5/10. Review by Varg The Mighty

JOURNEY INTO DARKNESS – MULTITUDES OF EMPTINESS ( Review by Varg The Mighty )
Today’s review is of American Symphonic Black Death Metal band Journey Into Darkness’ new album.
Years after the initial Dungeon Synth release, this project has been revived with a completely new shape. The album is an offering of Symphonic Black Metal with heavy orchestration in multiple parts somewhat like Limbonic Art, but also with some similarity to old Arcturus, although there are also quite apparent Death Metal influences (most notably on some vocals) that make the album quite different than the usual, with pretty good songs like “Programmed To Die”.
As a remain from the original concept of the project, there are multiple electronic interludes that give a much more cosmic feeling to the album, even though in some parts they seem too much like a soundtrack of a videogame, breaking the Black Metal atmosphere into something quite less eerie, even if it still has an unusual aura. This is decently combined with the actual songs, giving an equilibrium of both styles without the need of their forced combination.
I recommend this album to fans of Dungeon Synth, Darkwave, Symphonic Black Metal, Ambient Black Metal and Black Death Metal. My rating is of 8/10.Review by Varg The Mighty

Construct Of Lethe - Corpsegod Everlasting Spew Records Release: 6 November 2020
Construct of Lethe is back... from the past!
The band's unrelenting debut album "Corpsegod" returns in a brand new shape, re-recorded, re-mixed and re-mastered showcasing Kevin Talley on drums and now also featuring Pat Bonvin (Near Death Condition, Construct of Lethe's Exiler)'s incredible solos! Available on CD for the first time ever!
10 tracks of pure relentless Death Metal.
Construct of Lethe begun in 2010 with guitarist Tony Petrocelly in 2010 aiming to consolidate and release music written for previous bands that broke up before proper recordings could be made.
After the band's debut album "Corpsegod" and the following EP "The Grand Machination" the band debuted for Everlasting Spew with the album "Exiler", their most dynamic and varied release to date. Solid yet avantgardish and modern.
"I've never been happy with the Corpsegod released in 2016. It's unfinished, and though it was the best it could have been, all I can hear are its shortcomings; in order to move on as a band though, it had to be put out. When Everlasting Spew Records expressed interest in a re-release, it presented the perfect opportunity to fix those shortcomings. Lead guitarist Patrick Bonvin, who joined the band after Corpsegod was initially released, provided an entire album's worth of guitar solos that were absent on the original. Brand new rhythm guitar and bass tracks were recorded to address inconsistencies and errors in the original recording, and of course a new mix and master were done, with attention paid to the overall feel and tone of the original." Goratory - Sour Grapes Everlasting Spew Records 16 October 2020
Boston/Massachusetts sickest perverts finally back after SIXTEEN years with a NEW album of degenerating, grinding and schizoid technical Brutal Death! Feat. current and ex members from Deeds Of Flesh, Arsis and Job For A Cowboy.
Emerging from Massachusetts in 2000, Goratory quickly established themselves with an aggressive, hard partying style, debaucherous live show and technical musicianship. Releasing 3 full length albums (2001’s Sexual Intercorpse, 2002’s Orgasm Induced Diarrhea, and 2004’s Rice on Suede), touring internationally and performing at high profile death metal festivals around the world, the band has forever left its mark on the Brutal Death Metal scene. Semi-notorious as the band where most major death metal musicians from New England got their start, Goratory was a launching pad for members who later played with notable acts such as Arsis, Deeds of Flesh, Job for A Cowboy, The Black Dahlia Murder, Despised Icon, Sexcrement, and Abnormality.
After a spell of inactive years, finally, the great shit show of 2020 was fully realized as the ultimate lineup of Adam Mason (Vocals), Al Glassman (Guitars), Zach Pappas (Bass) and Darren Cesca (Drums) has returned! Sour Grapes, the band's first studio album in 16 years is the fourth dose of bulbous fungus that these evolved, belligerent assholes have consumed and shat upon the world. It's disgusting. You're gonna love it.
What people had to say:
“USA’s Goratory make garage-death metal” 1 out of 5 stars (Simone Appolloni)
“For those who doesn’t like this; there are worse” (Antarath)
“I found it hard to listen to and enjoy" (oh6gdx)
“I don’t mean to come off as belligerent but if any band has a more disgusting, brutal, or interesting band history speak now or forever crap your pants, like, I feel like a pussy for not having at least stabbed one of my bandmates” (Charles Mungus)
Hang em and Bang em.
Discography:
2000 - "Wrestling With Feces" Demo
