Rockshots Records: BLUE HOUR GHOSTS New Music Video "On Black Clouds"

New Album "Due" Out February 12, 2021

Recently announcing their signing to Rockshots Records for the release of their new album "Due" on February 12, 2021,  BLUE HOUR GHOSTS are sharing the new music video for their second single "On Black Clouds". The music video was shot and directed by talented multimedia artist and musician Snovonne Drake (Sno Drake Design & Media).

The band comments on the track and the video:

"We had the opportunity to work with an incredibly talented artist like Snovonne to realize the music video for this song. She was able to perfectly capture the mood of the single and provided an amazing visual counterpart for such an intense track. On Black Clouds was one of the last songs we completed for the record. The tune almost wrote itself after our singer Ricky came up with the draft ideas, and it just clicked right in like a missing puzzle piece for the album. We immediately found out that it worked out pretty well as a single, exposing our catchiest and most emotional side with its pop-rock and darkwave nuances. The song is a fast-paced run about how fast things go by and everything changes all of a sudden, and how ready we should be for this; the tension accumulates and then drops down in the cathartic refrain, where we let ourselves be carried away by insubstantial black clouds, foretelling a darker sky to come, rolling past present days.”

The music video for "On Black Clouds" can be viewed on YouTube.

BLUE HOUR GHOSTS' forthcoming  "Due" is the follow up to their 2016 self-titled debut album. Teaming up once again with Giuseppe “Dualized” Bassi (session musician for Fear Factory, Grenouer, Levania, Noveria), BHG's "Due" is their sophomore effort continuing their blend of progressive, classic, gothic metal, and alternative rock.

Taking a fresh, powerful, and intense melodic assault, "Due" depicts a wide range of soundscapes ranging from full metal aggression to soft, acoustic atmospheres, passing through infectious and catchy hooks and refrains that will enthrall any music addict, along with sophisticated layered arrangements to satisfy the most demanding palates. Throughout the 9 songs, all the ghosts hiding in the blue hour are made alive in the deep and heartfelt narration provided by both music and lyrics, offering a unique and compelling listening experience.

Keyboardist Simome Pedrazzi comments about the new album:

"With “Due” we are trying to engage new and established fans with an enjoyable, fresh, and yet sophisticated multi-level listening experience. All the nine songs offer an abundance of hooks that can stick into the ear from the first listen and remain impressed into the listener’s mind, stimulating his/her curiosity. There is no room for boredom, as within each song and throughout all the album, powerful and atmospheric sections alternate with each other in a seamless flow, thus keeping the attention high. The variety of musical colours displayed throughout the album and the extreme care we put into obtaining a lush and polished sound will allow for an extremely pleasant sonic experience."

Post-Rock Collective GOD IS AN ASTRONAUT Releases Second Single & Video “Fade”

GOD IS AN ASTRONAUT Releases New Single & Dark, Poignant Official Video “Fade” | Watch HERE!

New Album, Ghost Tapes #10, out February 12 via Napalm Records | Pre-Order NOW

“It’s all about hypnotic intensity, blends of intense noise
and melody along with a mix of electronics”

Reigning as one of the most well-known and highly critically acclaimed experimental instrumental groups out there with a respected musical legacy spanning nearly 20 years, Irish four-piece GOD IS AN ASTRONAUT will reach a career benchmark upon the release of their 10th studio album, Ghost Tapes #10 (out February 12, 2021 via Napalm Records).

The second single cut from GOD IS AN ASTRONAUT’s tenth studio album, Ghost Tapes #10, directly calls for action with an intense wall of sound, carried by a furious fuzzed bass line and a fast drum groove that culminates in a heavy, colossal apex. Keeping this energetic level on point, “Fade” comes to an end in an atmospheric and picturesque world of sounds to be discovered.

At 210 BPM, “Fade” is the fastest track that GOD IS AN ASTRONAUT has ever written. Starting off with a 10/8 time signature that fades into a 12/8 beat, the track is further proof of the band’s musical expertise. The song is illustrated by a dark and sinister black and white music video, created by Chariot Of Black Moth, which captures the intensity and showcases that “Fade” stands out among GOD IS AN ASTRONAUT’s former discography.

Pre-Order Ghost Tapes #10 NOW - first formats sold out already!
[artwork: David Rooney, www.davidrooney.com]
Ghost Tapes #10 is certainly the most ferocious GOD IS AN ASTRONAUT full-length to date – it still retains all the rich musical and emotive elements the band is known for by wheeling around luminance, but offers harsh and deep reminiscences as well. Works of art like “Burial”, “In Flux” and “Barren Trees”, with additional guitars by Jimmy Scanlan, amongst others, are proof of these creations of sound. The album’s closer, the atmospheric “Luminous Waves”, captivates in a trance-like mindset – putting one deeply in touch with their inner self, drifting away to stirring tunes of guest cello virtuoso Jo Quail.

The artwork was illustrated by David Rooney, who has worked with the band in the past, and plays into the sense of the foreboding and uncertain times we live in. Ghost Tapes #10 will be available as a four-page digipack as well as in multiple limited LP options.
Tracklisting:
  1. Adrift
  2. Burial

ABYTHIC premiere new track at MetalBite.com

Today, German doom-death cult Abythic premiere the new track "The Call" at heavily trafficked web-portal MetalBite.com. The track is the second to be revealed from the band's highly anticipated third album, Dominion of the Wicked, set for international release on February 12th via Iron Bonehead Productions. Hear Abythic's "The Call" in its entirety exclusively HERE.

Hailing from North Rhine-Westphalia, Abythic formed in 2015 and soon recorded & released their first demo, A Full Negation of Existence. Aptly titled, the demo portrayed four foul tracks of churning death metal of a most early '90s mold. Alas, that was an all-too-brief teaser for 2018's subsequent Beneath Ancient Portals, the band's celebrated debut album. Here, Abythic took the demo's same rudiments - patient and pulsing riffing, linear composition, an emphasis on doomy downtempo segments - and brought them to fuller fruition. By the time of their second album, Conjuring the Obscure, the following year, founding drummer MDB took over on guitar and asserted more creative control, resulting in a viscous, more resolutely doomed-out iteration of the ever-sturdy Abythic aesthetic.

And now, that "doomed-out" iteration gets really DOOMED-OUT on Abythic's third album, Dominion of the Wicked. Clearly on a creative roll - or the "roll" of a tank tread, as it were - Dominion of the Wicked is the sound of desolation given thundering might, heaviness (in all senses of the word) stretched apart to alternately suffocating/spacious extremes. Granted, Abythic still retain that proud 'n' powerful class as informed by mid-period Bolt Thrower, Asphyx, Grave, and Pentacle, but with four songs spanning a stultifying 35 minutes, Dominion of the Wicked both challenges the listener and makes for masterfully atmospheric listening. In fact, those 35 minutes are so engrossing, so majestically hypnotic yet HEAVY, those minutes feel more like years, such is the time-evaporating power Abythic have so studiously built these last few records. Credit due, then, to the band stripping down to a power-trio, with the emphasis clearly on POWER.

Some bands sell out; others slow down. Abythic may've slowed down, but they've certainly not "sold out" - rather, they've merely begun a new creative re-awakening that's borne dark, delicious fruit. Enter their Dominion of the Wicked!

Take the next step into that dominion with the brand-new track "The Call" exclusively HERE, courtesy of MetalBite.com. Take the first step with the previously revealed "Augury of the Doomed" HERE at Iron Bonehead's Soundcloud. Cover and tracklisting are as follows:

Tracklisting for Abythic's Dominion of the Wicked
1. At The Treshold Of Obscurity [14:42]

Trend Kill Ghosts releases the single "Dethrone Tyranny", a tribute to Gamma Ray

Brazilian power metal band Trend Kill Ghosts has just released the music video for "Dethrone Tyranny", a tribute to the renowned power metal band Gamma Ray. The version features a fast and heavy song with a strong chorus.

"Dethrone Tyranny" is the song chosen by the band to start 2021 with a positive energy and to give a gift to the fans. "At the end of last year we were thinking about doing something for this beginning of the year, so that, somehow, our fans would have a slightly lighter start to the year than last year... But how could we not let go no song from the new album, because we are in the recording phase. So the idea came up to do a tribute, a cover of one of the bands that most influenced us,Gamma Ray, so we could pay tribute to this band so important to us and also give the gift of beginning of the year to our audience", explains guitarist Rogério Oliveira.

The choice of the track "Dethrone Tyranny", from the album 'No World Order', is a kind of sample of what is to come in the next album ofTrend Kill Ghosts. "We hope you like it and that this year is much better for all of us !! Great year and Kill Your Ghosts!".

Trend Kill Ghosts is in the studio recording the new album, and posting the 'Studio Report' series on social media, where it shows the recording of each instrument with comments from the members. Follow each episode HERE.

Formed in 2018, Trend Kill Ghosts brings together four friends: Diogo Nunes (vocals), Rogério Oliveira (guitar), Maurílio Vizin (bass) and Leandro Tristane (drums), who bet on power metal / melodic metal. The band has several references to power metal, with names like Gamma Ray, Helloween, Avantasia, Edguy, Savatage and Stratovarius.

The debut album, “Kill your Ghosts”, which was released in July 2019 on all digital platforms, received great reviews from the specialized media and features cameos from Ralf Scheepers (Primal Fear, former Gamma Ray and Tyran 'Pace) in “Ghost's Revolution”, Raphael Dantas (SoulSpell, Ego Abscence) and Lúcia Ricardo (EvenDusk) in “Promise”.
