Master Dy - You Are Not Alone - (Power/Pop/Heavy Metal)

FFO: Ghost, In Flames, Lacuna Coil, Powerwolf

With their strong heavy riffs set against the clarity of female vocals, the mysterious and enigmatic upcoming band Master Dy is a force to be reckoned with, when it comes to the iconic and characteristic genre of Power Metal.

A strong and iconic team of musicians, the emerging band Master Dy has a strong theatrical component, approaches themes around metal and the occult in a comical way with heavy riffs, but a sweet and clean female voice. All set to captivate the world made their debut album release on February 26, 2021 With 11 splendid tracks, Master Dy managed to break into the genre and surprise listeners and critics with its release. Master Dy intends to produce and create music that inspires and excites spirits through the use of iconic Power/Heavy metal music.

Master Dy initially wanted to approach music through the theme used in black metal, because it's ocultist and a bit revolted against the things that go wrong in a young man's life, but then Dy Moob felt he didn't want to do black metal and decided to do something more fun, it could be heard by the whole family and it wasn't that heavy.

Master Dy has been mainly getting inspiration from Ghost BC , a Swedish band awarded for their incredible hard rock performances in recent years, which has pulled crowds back to rock and heavy metal. Master Dy then sought inspiration in another theatrical band called Powerwolf who abuse synthesizers and riffs, and the iconic Alice Cooper who has always been a legend when it comes to bringing theatrics and Rock n Roll together.

Now the next step is the single ' You Are Not Alone ' which was finished in the studio by Matt Dougherty ( Megadeth / Kobra and the Lothus ) and will be released by Label DyMM P&M on September 17th to give fans a taste, besides the band is already in the studio working on the next album that should be released at the beginning of the next year, what message will the band bring us this time?

Check out this video, while you wait for the new single to drop!

CRUSADIST – THE UNHOLY GRAIL ( Review by Varg The Mighty )

Today’s review is of American Thrash Death Metal band Crusadist’s debut album.

This album delivers old-school Thrash Death power with absolutely no faltering in the energy transmitted and no fillers. Combining their classic approach with a modern production and external appeal to wrap it all up, this album may also remind of Crypta besides the classic legends too.

Fans of modern and classic Thrash may enjoy this album, although it leans much more towards the Death Metal side of the subgenre (while also leaving space for nasty grooves and flagrant solos). Combining a Thrash rhythm with gruesome Death Metal riffs, this sure is a modern highlight of the genre.

I recommend this album to fans of Thrash Death Metal. My rating is of 9/10.

TIMECHILD "And Yet It Moves"

For fans of Black Sabbath, Baroness & Deep Purple.

TIMECHILD is massive and organic heavy rock from Copenhagen, Denmark. The band's soundscape is made up of a powerful and present lead vocal, characteristic twin guitars and atmospheric vocal harmonies, which together create their unique Scandinavian expression.

Timechild was formed in 2020 by four seasoned musicians from different corners of Denmark. With extensive past experience in a number of former and existing Danish rock and metal bands, the members had already crossed paths on both Danish and international stages. When the opportunity arose, they decided to unite their musical experiences and visions and created Timechild.

The debut album was written and recorded during the worldwide Covid-19 pandemic, which paralysed the Danish and international music industry. However, this silence gave the band time to jointly develop their common sound and expression. The vision from the start was to show how heavy rock can continue to challenge and surprise audiences even in 2021. Although the foundation of the band's sound universe is clearly laid by the rock giants of the past, Timechild's inspiration is drawn from across both time and genres. The opportunity to dive into the music history of past decades, and through this define one's own sound, is one of the greatest privileges that today's musicians have at their disposal. We can learn from the past without being backward-looking or unoriginal and we can be relevant and innovative without having to define a new genre.

This same mindset also applies to Timechild's lyrics. The title of the upcoming debut album "And Yet It Moves" is, according to legend, the last phrase uttered by physicist and philosopher Galileo Galilei after the Vatican forced him to recant his scientific belief, that the Earth moves around the sun and not the other way around. It is precisely this human search for the purpose of our own existence and the struggle to elevate ourselves above the laws of nature, that are recurring themes in the album's textual universe.

The record is produced, mixed and mastered by Soren Andersen (Glenn Hughes, Jesper Binzer, Thundermother, Marco Mendoza, Artillery). With his vast experience in the genre, both as a producer and musician, Soren was a natural choice when the band's songs were to be immortalised. The result is nine songs that show the band's broad dynamic range. From quiet, dark and melodic passages to over-marching twin guitars and energetic heavy rock. With "And Yet it Moves", Timechild is ready to wow audiences with their expression of heavy rock anno 2021.

Timechild's debut album, "And Yet It Moves", will be released on November 12th via Mighty Music.

Anders Folden Brink: Lead vocals, rhythm & lead guitar
Birk: Lead & rhythm guitar, backing vocals
Martin Haumann: Drums
Daniel Bach: Bass, backing vocals

"Somnia" is the new single by instrumental prog metal act Omnibeing.

The process of writing the song and filming the video was entangled together in an attempt to establish a distinct audio-visual concept. Stylistically this is a step into a new sonic realm for the project - it still keeps the tonal and rhythmic complexity of the earlier releases but yet goes into more ambient and nuanced sound.

The author behind the release is Vitaly Shemetovets - guitar player and producer from Minsk, Belarus.
