The musical project started in Poland at the beginning of 2017.
Inspired by doom metal themes with influences of black and death metal.
After recording their debut album „Fade”, DHS completed their line-up and became a full-time band,
starting to play live shows across the country.
Lyrics on the album were loosely based on the novels by Edgar Allan Poe and posed a question:
Is death an end or a beginning?
In 2020 band recorded a single called "Downfall" and released it together with two other doom
metal bands as a split EP entitled "Unyielding". It was a preview of their upcoming music.
After that the band focused on their second long play, finished and recorded halfway through 2021.
The fruit of this work is 7 songs piece that is a continuation of the story contained in “Fade”
with the addition of H.P. Lovecraft-inspired themes.
“Call of the Abyss” is full of darkness, mystery, sadness and nostalgia deeply entrenched
in doom/death metal of the early 90s and the second wave of black metal. It continues the journey
that started four years ago on the previous album.
Straight to the unknown, right into calling abyss…

Voodoma Hellbound Pride & Joy Music Release: 14 January 2022

VOODOMA are a Dark Rock band with Gothic and Metal influences from Düsseldorf, Germany. “Hellbound” is their second release on Pride & Joy Music after “Gotland” which saw the light of day in 2017. 
 
After numerous album releases and festival appearances incl. "Wacken Open Air", "Ragnaröck Festival" and "Castle Rock", a new chapter now opens for the band: catchy melodies meet with tons of hooks, eclectic arrangements and a dark but still rocking atmosphere. 
 
The group’s sound still can be described as melodic, catchy Dark Rock which offers a wide range of elements and songs which will appeal to Gothic and Metal fans alike. 
 
Recorded at Doomsday Club Studio in Düsseldorf between January 2019 and September 2021, “Hellbound” was produced & mixed by Mikk Hollenberg. The mastering was handled by Chris Beyerlein at Stem Masters in Nürnberg, Germany. Artwork designed by Martina Peschel.

Release Date: December 1st, 2021 FFO: Halford, Judas Priest, Iced Earth Alex Hernández (Lead & Rhythm Guitar) and Asier Larrea (Drums) have remained Blackhearth's primary driving force throughout the years. At the beginning of 2017 they focused their minds on recording an album. Their debut album ' Blackhearth ' was released thru with Sliptrick Records in August 2019.  “The Wrath Of God” will be released on December 1st 2021. Blackhearth reveals the details of its second album entitled “ The Wrath Of God ”, the album! Contains 10 songs recorded at Chromaticity Studios and produced by Pedro J. Monge ( Vhäldemar ). Galladorn - The Dragon Lies Bleeding - (Power Metal)

Release Date: November 19th, 2021 FFO: Hammerfall, Iron Maiden, Blind Guardian Galladorn is a two-piece Power Metal band formed in 2020 by U.S. multi-instrumentalist Chris Johansson and U.K. vocalist Craig Cairns. The band is set to release their first single, a cover of the Hammerfall classic, “The Dragon Lies Bleeding” on November 19th, 2021. The group has plans for a multitude of releases to follow; including singles, merch, and a host of other covers paying tribute to the trailblazers of the Power Metal genre, such as Helloween and Blind Guardian. Speaking on the formation and the motivation behind the group’s first single, Johansson had this to say, “Though my past projects have typically been on the more extreme side of Metal, such as Death and Black Metal, I have always had a deep love for Power Metal. I’ll always remember hearing Hammerfall’s, “The Dragon Lies Bleeding” for the first time as a teenager. It was not only my first time listening to Hammerfall, but also my first time listening to the genre altogether. It was one of the earlier songs I learned after picking up the guitar and it has stuck with me ever since. After teaming up with Craig and the idea of forming a Power Metal band now a possibility, it seemed only logical the group’s first release would be an homage to those roots. I can’t wait to share the song. Craig did an amazing job on the vocals and I think with his gritty style we added a bit of our own personality to this classic song!”.

Unzane - Test Of Time (Classic Heavy Metal)

 

Release Date: D ecember 17th, 2021 FFO: Slayer, Manowar, Black Sabbath Country Origin: Puerto Rico UNZANE was established in the year 2000 in the enchanted island and beautiful city of San Juan Puerto Rico. The best known line up of the band are: Ricky Leon, David Carrion, Alex Hernandez, Alfredo Vargas. After touring Central America playing in different clubs in the USA, C.B.G.B. in NYC an the Whisky a Go Go in L.A. among others. also in the Caribbean islands and all around Puerto Rico including the main stadium arena in 2008. The band decided to move to the mainland United States around 2009 to develop further their careers & passion for music.  The band has 4 previous studio records and this is the 5th album which surpasses the others by far, it shows how much the band evolved over the years and displays the best of their abilities keeping the group together and portray the grooves which has always been the core of their music with heavy guitar riffs, pounding bass, fierce drums and melodic vocals. UNZANE signed a contract agreement with the Italian record label “TOO LOUD Records” in 2021 for the distribution of the new record “Test Of Time”, mixed and mastered by Riccardo Daga at Titans Lab Recording Studio, which is set to be released on December 17th, 2021. There would be some promotional singles releases prior to promote the full album.

SVARTSOT Liden Kirsten (single) Mighty Music Release: 3 December 2021

For fans of Steeleye Span, Jethro Tull, (early) In Flames.

Fresh from being signed to Mighty Music, Danish folk metal purveyors SVARTSOT will release the first digital single of the album on December 3rd. And, what a way to start showing music from “Kumbl”. “Liden Kirsten” is a catchy traditional anthem which the nordic six-piece re-worked to make their own.

“One of the lesser-known old folk ballads from Denmark, this song is about a king who decides that he wants to get married and have children without telling the lucky lady of his intensions first”, the band reveals. “Only after Little Kirsten has given birth to two boys does he tell her that he is the father, and that she may be his queen”.

Although it is now quite a while since Svartsot has released new material, the band is still very much alive and kicking. In the interim since 2015’s Vældet, the beer-soaked folk metallers have been active on the live scene in Denmark and abroad, including appearances at various major festivals as well as at the prestigious 70000 Tons Of Metal cruise in 2019. After a change of bassist and the decision to shelve an album’s worth of material in 2017/18, the idea of releasing a collection of traditional folk songs that have inspired the band, reworked in Svartsot’s characteristic style, was spawned.

The original idea was to release this fifth album, entitled “Kumbl” (an old Danish word meaning ‘monument’ or ‘memorial’), in 2020 to coincide with Svartsot’s 15th anniversary. However, due to various practicalities, the album was first recorded — by none other than the band’s drummer and up-and-coming producer, Frederik Uglebjerg (www.uglebjerg.com) — during the pandemic.

In support of the album, Svartsot have been booked for a series of concerts across Denmark. Whilst only a few European shows are booked or planned at the moment, more will hopefully follow, if travel regulations permit.

“Kumbl” will be re-released in CD, LP and digital formats via Mighty Music on February 25th, 2022.
