Interview Dismembration (Brazil / Death Metal).
BZ- Dismembration was formed in 2018. How did the idea of forming the band
come about?.
DM- The initial idea came from guitarist Bonete Arte Nula in 2017 but it was
in March 2018 that we started recording; the idea was to make a project
and put a vocal line in songs written by him and then mix them. Since the
registration for me was already great; but of course we would promote it
and if it was necessary to be able to play we would go after the people to
close the band and that was exactly what we did in the middle of the
production of the album Humn Decay.
BZ - Have you previously played in other bands?
DM - I have already played in local bands here, including Scream, Broken Head
and Abhor Death Metal.
BZ - Apart from Dismembration, do any of its components play in any other band?
DM - Bacau Art Null: Hempadura, Sludge Terror, No Religion, Agredi, Verbal
Expression, Bullet Man, Harmonic Distortion.
BZ - In August 2018 you released an Ep called "Tribute to the Dead" and in March of
2019 your first album "Human Decay" came out. Because you added the themes
of Ep to the new album?
DM - Some lyrics were already done and I almost always addressed the same
subjects in the other bands I played, so it wasn't difficult; but some things
were changed to match new compositions and even then it wasn’t a completely
themed album, but very insane. A theme is never alone within our songs, let's
say they end up being completed!
BZ - What reception has the new album had among fans and the specialized press?.
DM -Things happened and are still happening very fast and we did not expect nearly
half of it; the album is being released on some radio stations and several
channels and pages and in some countries as well.
The audience is very receptive indeed and by the scene people here and abroad
a good return is coming. We are very grateful ...
BZ - On some issues you can see some influence on Six Feet Under. What bands have
you influenced more when composing?
DM - Yes, we listen to Six Feet Under a lot, but to compose the lyrics are more
situations known to us, me and events with our friends or family; of everyday
life and sometimes a little imagination and fiction gets in the way too.
BZ - Have you already come out to face the public with Human Decay?
DM - Yes, we participated in the 11th True Metal Fest in the 35 years of the band
Leviaethan alongside the bands Carcinosi and As The Palavra Burn, we opened
for Brujeria alongside Ossos and As The Palaces Burn in the 13th True metal
fest and 7th edition of Noisy Bazaar alongside the bands Abigail and Causa
Mortis.
BZ - The Brazilian scene is very wide, what bands do you like in your country?
DM - Offal, krisiun, Amem Corner, Korzus, Ratos de Porão, Claustrophobia among
many others we heard.
BZ - What are the lyrics of your songs about, are the lyrics composed of them all?
DM -
The themes of the lyrics are about torture, after death, murder, sleep paralysis,
psychiatric problems and possessions; and all the anguish, dread and suffering that
can cause in our mind and in our lives. They are mostly authored
mine and Bonete, but there are two tracks, one of which is his son Deivid
Rosário and the other by Leonardo Marques, friend of an old project called Umbral
BZ - Do you know any Spanish band that you like.
DM - Sim, Dark Moor.
