Infernal Souls begins its first rehearsals in May 2004, initially making extreme
metal within melodic Black metal with lyrics that express the dark side of each
member of the group.
After several live events, with 8 members including a female soprano voice, at the
end of 2004 several members left the group, finally leaving the "basic" structure
of 2 guitars, bass, drums and vocals.
This is how the following years pass with live performances until October 25, 2011
where the initial line-up formed by: Marco Tipan (drums), Edison Hidalgo (bass),
Oscar Quillupangui (Guitar), Javier Toapanta (lead guitar) and Diego Hidalgo (voice)
present their last concert in Yaruqui, Pichincha province, since on November 8, 2011,
Diego Hidalgo, one of the founding members of the band, dies, leaving a void not only
as a member of the group but as a close friend within the scene.
The following years the group is devastated by the departure of its vocalist and at
the end of 2017 the rest of the members decide to continue with the project as a real
and spiritual tribute in honor of Diego. This time the lineup is as follows: Marco Tipán
(drums), Oscar Quillupangui (Bass) and Javier Toapanta (guitar and Voice).
In mid-2018 Marco leaves the group for personal and work reasons, on September 22, 2018 at
the Blood Forest Fest event in the city of Quito Ecuador the new drummer Patricio Noboa (
also drummer for the band Padrax) is presented, finally being the lineup with: Patricio
Noboa (drums) Oscar Quillupangui (bass) and Javier Toapanta (guitar and vocals) with faster
songs and always keeping lyrics dark and full of blasphemy.
With this line-up, studio recordings are made to capture them in future demos. There are also
several live events with good reception especially outside the capital city as well as broadcasting
on-line programs of the scene and the compilation: Ode to the dead metal Vol1 of South American bands
.
On August 3, 2019, 2 live songs were recorded in the so-called "Cabin of Terror" at the "Pluteras Recs" stud
ios in Quito Ecuador, where the debut album "Possesso Immortal" will also be recorded, a tribute to the great
"Possesso" (Diego Hidalgo) and the first video clip of the theme: Mutilator Andino, a theme inspired by the
Ecuadorian moors. For the recording of the album there are 9 songs by the band, these songs are:
Sinfonía maldita (instrumental)
Inhalación maniaco sexual
Mórbido
Mutilador Andino
Reino de gran Puctas
Possesso Inmortal
