"Metal Commando" was produced by Mat Sinner and mixed by Jacob Hansen – an experienced dream-team.
„I
don't want to throw around superlatives, but each of us went to their
utmost limits and we are all very happy with the sound and song
material. It's pretty safe to say that this is a top album and maybe
even our strongest record to date“, comments bassist and producer Mat Sinner. „It's
the perfect mix between our origins and our current style, a perfect
balance and all band members did an awesome job playing and recording
it. For me, „Metal Commando“ is the right album at the right time!“.
The album will be released on July 24th and it will contain 11 tracks.
The pre-order will start on May 15th, just in time for the release of
the first single, 'Along Came The Devil', a hard-hitting PRIMAL FEAR bomb.

Canadian Blackened Doom Metal PLAGUE WEAVER Spreads Darkness With Music Video ‘The Traveller’; New EP “Through The Sulphur Eyes” Out Now!

New EP “Through The Sulphur Eyes” Out Now!
Toronto’s Plague Weaver released a new EP “Through The Sulphur Eyes” in January 2020 and now has a music video out for the track ‘The Traveller’.
Watch the video HERE.Aiming to create black metal with a sickening atmosphere, the solo project of RM offers up the bleak video, which compliments the black metal it is set to, characterized by pounding, slow, dissonant riffs. Creator RM explains the EP as a whole:
“The new EP is a continuation of work that began on our self-titled debut. It’s still black metal with elements of doom metal, but with a little bit of a different approach – more spoken words, more atmosphere and a guest solo in ‘Unchained, recorded by Derryl Vi.”
Follow up on the debut, self-titled release from last year, “Through The Sulphur Eyes” is blackened doom mixed with faster, melodic parts and fans will appreciate the consistency.
There is more in the works from Plague Weaver, a full-length release has been hinted at, and the establishment of a live lineup for performances.
For fans of Rotting Christ, Varathron, old Samael, Triptykon, and Dissection, the album is available now on Plagueweaver.bandcamp.com, Spotify and iTunes.

““Through The Sulfur Eyes” is a solid EP… the overall sound that
is achieved is impressive… PLAGUE WEAVER has an interesting doom-like
black metal sound that works well with layered deep and high-pitched
vocals. I think fans of doom metal and black metal aficionados will
appreciate this one.” 8/ 10 – Metal Temple
“From the moaning leads to the slow lurching cadence and the deep monstrous roars, the opening of the title song sounds like the beginning of a death/doom track, but although that oppressive feeling of plague and decay persists, the band also pitch into fits of percussive mayhem, fevered riffing, and vocal madness, and they stitch flickering bits of guitar lunacy into the song as well.” – No Clean Singing
“breaking through to listeners in 2020 is a seriously steep hill to climb and bands have to either push the envelope, do something that can’t be found elsewhere, or just amaze and electrify with each release to grab attention and stay relevant. Plague Weaver do all that on Through the Sulphur Eyes and it’s up to you to show them how good a job they’ve done. What I’m saying is, go buy it. Now.” – Nine Circles
“Through crawling malignancy is how Plague Weaver approach their art, and these songs are filled with grim mood and malevolent auras” Indy Metal Vault
“There’s a darkness running throughout Through the Sulphur Eyes that is quite powerful… The riffs are weighty, drenched in a toxic malaise, yet also possessing the razor-sharp cutting edge of underground black metal. It’s a captivating combination, that moves forward at a steady, relentless pace. What really lingers though is a feeling of uncleanliness; this music is corrosive, carrying with it a taint of infection and, well, plague.” – The Sound Not The Word
“”Plague Weaver” are a collection of melancholic and sorrowful tunes that drag you deep into hell.” – Absit Omen (self-titled EP review)

Plague Weaver is Black/Doom metal from Canada; created in
December 2018 by RM. The original idea was to create music in the vein
of old school Black metal mixed with other musical influences coming
from Death/Doom metal.
Black metal mixed with a sickening atmosphere is what’s in
store for listeners as the solo project of RM; it is the musical
interpretation of RM’s vision of the world, philosophy, the occult, and
general experiences. It is the culmination of over 25 years of travel
through metal /dark ambient/ experimental music RM has created.
A debut self-titled EP was released in 2019 and is followed up in 2020 with the EP “Through The Sulphur Eyes”.
Plague Weaver is a solo project, but there are plans to create a live lineup for performances.

Debut Album “Trail of Souls” Out Now!
American traditional heavy metal act Rivetskull has a new video for their single “Narcissus” in support of their debut album “Trail of Souls” recently released on February 7, 2020.
Rivetskull brings a comforting familiarity reminiscent of 70’s-80’s metal/hard rock albeit with a modern twist. On “Trail of Souls” there
are a few longer “epic” songs, and some shorter almost punk heavy pop
songs, if you will. Something for everyone for various moods. The band
expands their view of the album:
“We’d like to think we did a good job of delivering
something that is familiar, yet fresh. Our musical tastes are all over
the board and I think that comes across without being too manic and all
over the place hopefully! Though it’s not a concept album or anything,
there is a common theme that carries throughout the album and ties it
all together.”
Stoked to get their music out to fans, Rivetskull acknowledges
the growing demand for “NWOTHM” New Wave Of Traditional Heavy Metal and
are excited about the response they’ve gotten in such a short time. The
single “Narcissus” explores humanity dealing with narcissists from neighbors and friends to world leaders with a captivating visual story.
For fans of Dio, Black Sabbath, Deep Purple, and Rainbow, the video can be watched via its premiere on Metal-Rules.com HERE.
“Trail of Souls” is available for stream and download on Bandcamp, Apple Music, Spotify.

Apophis - Melodic Death Metal / Australia
Melodic Death Metal from Australia with hints of doom metal and ambient music
Founded in 2017 by mutli-instrumentalist Aidan Cibich, Apophis quickly
established itself as a metal force to be reckoned with, quickly
releasing the first full length album "Under A Godless Moon" in the
second half of 2017. This album would set the precendent
of what Apophis was about, seemlessly blending styles such as melodic
death metal, black metal, doom metal and post-rock into a unique blend
of instrumental music, which can only truly be described with one word,
Apophis.
The foundation set by the first album would be elaborated on in the
early stages of 2018 until Septemeber, when Apophis was ready to unleash
its sophomore album "Virulent Host"
Drawing on the influences from the first album and delving deep into
different ideas, Apophis second album went places only breifly touched
in the previous album, bringing more doom elemets to the table, more
savage technical riffs and longer, progressive aspects
to take the listener on a journy to the very depths of hell and back.
After the release of the second album, Aidan went on a little break from
Apophis and founded the Blackened Death Metal group Tanin’iver,
writing, producing and mixing two records with that group before
deciding it was time again to return to Apophis
After a year and a half of writing, recording, mixing and mastering,
Apophis has returned with the third album “Echoes In Eternity”
As brutal and aggressive as ever with Apophis’s music, this album also
bought a sense of refined elegance to the music which had only been
touched on in previous releases and more of a cinematic experience for
the listener, something Apophis has always wanted.
This album not only serves as the rebirth for Apophis, but also signals towards the future.

Black Pestilence Premiere Album Stream “Hail The Flesh” via Metal Injection

New Album "Hail The Flesh" Out May 1st
Calgary, Canada’s most versatile metal band Black Pestilence is now streaming their new album “Hail the Flesh” via Metal Injection. Listen HERE.
The
trio is stoked to release their sixth studio album, their most refined
and mature record to date. Working hard over the last year and a half,
the band has been pounding out their signature blend of black metal,
punk, and noise. The result is 9 blistering tracks with fast drums,
angry vocals, and an array of synthesized melodies.
Raising hell since 2008, Black Pestilence has reached an apex of refined satanic torment. Band founder, bassist and vocalist Valax adds:
“‘Hail
The Flesh’ will be fast, and chaotic. Lyrically, for it, I talk about
glorifying the carnal lifestyle and celebrating Earthly pleasures and
indulgences. I am inspired by so many different avenues for lyrics.
Without sounding too cliche, most of the lyrics are about Satanism, but
not on a theistic level, just true, carnal, humanistic Satanism. Many
other songs are also about social issues.”
Black Pestilence is for fans interested in Impaled Nazarene, Municipal Waste, and Midnight.
Over the course of twelve years, Black Pestilence has released five full-length albums, filmed four music videos, and performed all over Canada and Europe. They have also shared the stage with a number of notable bands including The Black Dahlia Murder, Toxic Holocaust, Absu, Skeletonwitch, and Wednesday 13.

"an album that really has a surprisingly wide range within the black/thrash/punk style so if you love that sort of black and roll aggressive metal, then “Hail The Flesh” will be an album for you." - The Rockpit
"They really don’t have another gear beyond ‘top’ which makes for a splitting headache of heavy but one that satisfies. After all there are only 9 tracks and as Godless spits and snarls, Frauds to the Throne exudes filthy groove, My Will to Power rages hard and Ephemeral drags the suffering out, the over-riding thought is Black Pestilence have impressed." 8/10 - Games, Brrraaains & A Head-Banging Life
"First things first, it’s not every day you hear black metal as fun as this! That is partly because of the exciting thrash and not-so-serious punk influences, but also because the songwriting is very strong. " 4/ 5 - The Independent Voice
"dirty, punky Black/Thrash that occasionally makes feedback noises and consistently slaughters everything in its path." 4/5 - The Metal Crypt
"They can smash extremely well, and their blend of black metal aesthetic with punk attitude is a perfect fit " - 4/5 - Deaf Sparrow
"a musical union of black / thrash & punk that just rock ROCK! I give 9 out of 10 Hellfire points" - Hellfire Magazin

Jon Asher - Music PublicistDinenthal - Black Metal/United Kingdom
Dinenthal - All Instruments & Vocals
I'm Dinenthal, I'm a musician from Newcastle Upon Tyne, England. Dinenthal is my solo black metal project. I am also one of the musicians in the death metal band Acherontia Styx (2007 - to date) where I play guitars/bass guitars. Music is my absolute passion, if I'm not listening to it, I'm playing it.
I have been in a few different bands, but not had any commercial success except Acherontia Styx.
I wrote my first album (Inaugural Repository of Desolation) between 2015 - 2018 during Acherontia Styx's hiatus, and it was recorded in a number of different locations with me playing all instruments and providing all of the vocals. It actually started out as a collection of over 20 songs, but I picked the best 9 to push forward for a release. I was fortunate to get a couple of tracks heard by the guys who were starting out Dwarrowdelf and decided to give me a chance.
With the first album out, I really wanted to get back in the studio and do another album as I had learned a lot from the writing experience and felt that I could produce something different. I got an EP (C6 H8 O7 Nihtgengan) of experimental demos released and that was the moment that I had the epiphany.
While I am a massive fan of bands like Emperor, Enslaved, Wolves in the Throne Room, Triumvir Foul, Ash Borer and Yellow Eyes. My other favourite music is by Pink Floyd and particularly Tangerine Dream. I wanted to splice that together to have the grim harshness of black metal (particularly the vocals) fused with the progressive synth arpeggiators of 70's psychedelia. But coupled with my fascination and love of Northumbria, Old English language, Paganism, Magick, Mythology, and Folklore, plus a few of my life experiences. The coast of Northumbria and the North Sea are stunning scenes and an amazing inspiration. Two tracks from the first album really set the scene for this, Norðhymbra which is about the wildness of the coast during a storm and Lindisfarnaee which details the Viking raid of Lindisfarne and is entirely sung in Old English.
Bedahalh is actually about the experience of a night-dive. This took place at 1 am at the beach in Beadnell a few years ago on a crystal clear autumn night. The stars could be seen shining through the surface and there were millions of bioluminescent plankton in the water that sparked when disturbed, the whole experience was dreamlike and ethereal.
"Bedahalh"
is the first single ffrom the forthcoming album "Wðdendreám þá Norðsæ",
Old English for "Madness of the North Sea". Their 3rd release on
Dwarrowdelf Records
This single represents a shift into Psychadellic Black Metal Abyss where the influences of Mayhem and Emperor collide head on with Pink Floyd and Tangerine Dream.
The
album will focus on the raw beauty that is Northumberland, the
Northumbrian coast, the ancient Kingdom of Northumbria, and some of its
legends.
The first track
Bedahalh (or Beadnell) is about the ethereal experience of scuba diving
at midnight, floating in zero gravity in the pure blackness, looking at
the stars from under the water and the bioluminescence sparks from the
plankton in the water making the whole experience, dream-like.
The band are available for live or pre-recorded interview. Physical merchandise and promotional items are available on request.
