CASAGRANDE – album “Casagrande” (Οctober 15, 2020, Soman Records, France)

He was born in Soncino, an ancient village in Northern Italy on June the 20th

1973. Since the childhood he had been interested in playing musical instruments, but until the age of 13 he didn't begin to play any. His music teacher at the middle

school was used to play:” The final countdown” from the band “Europe” on the

accordion. He really liked that song.

His father is an accordionist, so he asked him to teach him how to play it.

He practised the accordion for about two years, learning some kind of waltz, too.

In the meantime some of his peers begun listening to metal bands. A couple of them were living closer and listening at extreme volume their favourite songs.

He got interested and went to his neighbours asking to borrow a music-cassette.

He chose : “The number of the Beast”by Iron Maiden and “Ride the lightning” of

Metallica . He loved that music immediately, and left the accordion to play the guitar. Firstly he bought a classical guitar and learned the basic techniques within a

method created for the Commodore 64.

At the age of 17, he bought my first electric guitar, a very used Kaway Aquarius

Custom. It was impossible to find out musicians in his  surroundings to play metal, so he  joined some cover bands.

With the “Nessuno” he played my first gig. Afterwards he recorded his first demotape, helped by a classmate who created drums and bass through his Commodore AMIGA. In that age, there were just a few ways of promotion.

In the late 1993 he formed the band Castigo http://youtu.be/cBBhRG3cpkg . They recorded a 3 tracks demotape, but after a quarrel he quitted the band.

Then he joined the deathmetal band “Aphelion” to play this gig

http://youtu.be/QYvKdm8DlDs . After a couple of years and some gigs the band

decided to change its musical style and he disagreed ...

So he tried to play a different kind of music, but he felt it more challenging and less

satisfactory. In the middle of 1999, he began with his home recording solo project. It had been quite a disaster. So in 2003 he retired.

He turned back to the classical guitar and dedicated himself to it completely, selling part of his electric instrumentation.

Five years later, he changed my mind again, but he didn't want to make the same

previous mistakes. Registering on the Facebook network he got in touch with old

friends, members of the “Aphelion” band. Talking with them about his desire to

record again some tracks he was surprised to understand they wished to help him...and that's it.

His first homonymous full-length album will be released on October 2020 by French Soman Records.

New videolyric "The Faithless - No reason"

The Faithless continue to put all the meat on the grill to present their third album as it deserves. After two powerful singles, those from Vitoria surprise us with a half-time of those that remain recorded.

"No Reason" is the new pitch that they show to the world and they do it through a spectacular lyric video. In it they tell an exciting story of betrayal and death, marked by fire by a stony rhythmic base, and some wonderful vocal melodies.

The cover of the single has once again been made by artist Adolfo Warbanner.

And it will be released on the Demons Records label. Photographs taken by Unai Endemaño.

POSSESSED STEEL stream TEMPLE OF MYSTERY debut at NWOTHM

Today, Canadian epic heavy metallers Possessed Steel stream the entirety of their highly anticipated debut album, Aedris, at the New Wave of Traditional Heavy Metal (NWOTHM) YouTube channel. set for international release on November 30th via Temple of Mystery Records, hear Possessed Steel's Aedris in its entirety exclusively HERE.

Possessed Steel are a four-piece traditional heavy metal band from Toronto, Canada. Formed in 2010, they started by playing small venues and house parties in the area, and through the years became more and more dedicated to finessing their sound and ideas. They released a five-song rehearsal recording that same year, and after a steady stream of shows, the band crystallized their sound on their self-titled EP in 2014.

After a year-long hiatus - where they said they'd break up "forever," but didn't - the current lineup played together for the first time in 2015, playing the old EP from front to back and feeling they had perfect chemistry. From that day forth, Possessed Steel as we know today was formed, and the band went on to release their second EP, Order of the Moon, which featured some older songs expanded upon and slightly rearranged.

As they expanded their sound and honed their creativity, they set their sights on writing their first-ever full-length, leading us to now. For a full year, Possessed Steel have been working harder than they've ever worked - recording, writing and releasing a one-of-a-kind concept album of epic proportions, Aedris.

Aedris takes us across a prophetic journey, which unfolds into a succession of mystical songs taking place in an enchanted world. The goal is for Aedris, the last of kin in a long ancient bloodline, to choose to heed a prophecy of ruin - or to ignore it - and each song is a chapter in his story.

Musically, Aedris is a well-crafted, refreshing mix of epic heavy metal and Canadian-style progressive thrash with poignant vocals, sometimes soul-wrenching screams - but overall, it has incredible RIFFs, otherworldly acoustic parts (think Sacred Blade), and over-the-top solos. One thing that could be said about Aedris is that it is more than an album; it is entering another world. It makes us travel into a parallel universe. It sounds and feels original, and it is the type of record that we can listen to over and over again and discover new things every time.

Join Aedris, and follow his quest to fulfill his destiny as the album sets into a somber musical voyage, which sets sail on November 30th on Temple of Mystery Records.

Repaid In Blood - Reflective Duality (Self-Release Release: 21 January 2021)

California geek metal squad REPAID IN BLOOD is gearing up for the release of their second full-length album, Reflective Duality . The album finds REPAID IN BLOOD maniacally bulldozing its way through eight tracks of pit-inducing fury. Featuring guest appearances from members of THREAT SIGNAL, ALLEGAEON, BORN OF OSIRIS and FLUB, Reflective Duality is the album metal fans need to kick off 2021 properly.

The band comments on the album, “We have always been a fun going band, writing about the things we love and care about, metal, comics, movies, all around geek stuff. Well this time around we also wrote about what we care about, this time it’s people! You, and everyone else, are created equal. This isn’t an album about hate, it’s about our love for our country and what it should stand for. This isn’t a political album, it’s about human rights. All humans are created equal, women, children and men. Metal IS Family. We should support each other, as well as everyone that needs help in our communities. If you have a problem with our views, kindly see yourself out of our socials. We thank you for your time.”

REPAID IN BLOOD mixes the best of Death Metal and Metal-core creating their own unique genre: Geek Metal! Which blends crushing riffs, searing solos, ball shattering breakdowns with a variety of pop culture, movies, games and geekdom samples into their performances that always gets the crowd going and shouting the lines and samples during the show!

REPAID IN BLOOD is a metal band that started in 2006 in Sunnyvale, CA. The name was taken from a lyric off The Black Dahlia Murder’s first full length album, Unhallowed. The name is an expression of violence in its truest form, vengeance. Victor Hernandez and Jake Burrmann formed a band in high school, with different members coming and going along the way, eventually turning into what became REPAID IN BLOOD. Jake Burrmann and Juan Galvez are the last of the founding members, and yet, with the powerful vocals and live performances of Darrell Durham, along with the blistering leads of Patrick Small, REPAID IN BLOOD is a strong cohesive family.

REPAID IN BLOOD has worked the local scene with a strong fan base, played in three showcases at South By Southwest, numerous West Coast and Southwest tours and US tours. REPAID IN BLOOD are serious about the music they create, but always have fun doing so. From the "I Saw Zombies Eating Santa Claus" Xmas parody to a Lego stop motion, Clerks inspired, Jaws parody video, to a full puppet band video for a parody of Salt N Peppa’s “Push It”, releasing tour and behind the scenes blooper videos, using Archer or Stranger Things for a live opening, kid’s cereal, zombies, pop culture, comic books, Game Of Thrones, to peeing on you, you are guaranteed to take something away from REPAID IN BLOOD musically and live.

REPAID IN BLOOD has one full length album, Born In A Lazarus Pit, which was released June 2014, with music videos released, national promotion, and press as well. REPAID IN BLOOD also has an earlier EP One Bullet Shy Of A Solution released August 2008 and more recently a second EP Terra Mourning in May 2017. The newest full length, Reflective Duality, is due out January 21st 2021.

REPAID IN BLOOD have done full US tours: East Bound And Death Tour with thrashers Apothesary, The Repaid In Death Tour with Australian Death Metalers In Death..., The Split Personality Tour with Death Will Tremble, The Danger Zone Tour with Casket Robbery, and the massive No One Gets Out Alive Tour with In Death..., Casket Robbery and Bury The Rod which was a great success. REPAID IN BLOOD has shared the stage with All Shall Perish, Allegaeon, Betraying The Martyrs, Embryonic Devourment, Forbidden, Incite, Morta Skuld, Voices Of Ruin, Sacrificial Slaughter as well as so many others on the road.
