Swedish heavy metal band LION'S SHARE has made its tribute to Lemmy and MOTÖRHEAD available on streaming services and digital service providers on the fifth anniversary of Lemmy's death, December 28th, to celebrate his memory and music.

LION'S SHARE singer Nils Patrik Johansson says: "Lemmy is truly the definition of rock 'n' roll - and even though LION'S SHARE is more heavy metal than rock 'n' roll, MOTÖRHEAD and Lemmy has been a great inspiration over the years."

"We've been talking about giving our friends and fans a surprise, and when I came up with the idea to cover 'Killed By Death', Lars [Chriss, LION'S SHAREguitarist] was all in and made a great arrangement that just didn't copy the original, which would have been pointless."

Chriss adds: "We had the pleasure of supporting MOTÖRHEAD, DIO and MANOWAR on the 'Monsters Of The Millennium' tour, and all the bands treated us so extremely well. Lemmy was such a great and funny person to be around. I have so many great memories from that tour. Very cool to have fellow Swede Mikkey Dee (MOTÖRHEAD, SCORPIONS), doing the introduction to our video for the song as well. Plus, of course, the inclusion of all the great photos that Lemmy fans from all over the world sent in."

In late 2018, LION'S SHARE released a new five-track EP, plus its complete catalog - remastered with new artwork - on streaming services and digital service providers for the first time. The band have since released a few more digital singles, some of which will and some of which won't end up on the forthcoming full-length album.

Both Johansson and Chriss remark that they have always worked very well together, and at this point it feels the most natural to keep LION’S SHARE as a duo, with friends helping out wherever needed.

The LION’S SHARE catalog features appearances by members and ex-members of KISS, MEGADETH, KING DIAMOND, HAMMERFALL, SYMPHONY X, CHIMAIRA, THERION, YNGWIE MALMSTEEN, CANDLEMASS, etc.
Mixers include top engineers such as Jens Bogren (ARCH ENEMY, OPETH, SYMPHONY X, AMON AMARTH) - Niklas Flyckt (one-time Grammy Awardwinner and four-time nominee) and Ronny Lahti (ROXETTE, EUROPE, Glenn Hughes).

LION'S SHARE has toured with bands like MOTÖRHEAD, MANOWAR, DIO, SAXONICED EARTH, NEVERMORE, U.D.O. (ex-ACCEPT), Dee Snider (TWISTED SISTER) and has played many of the major rock and metal festivals.

KALAHARI Unleashes A New Version of Carol of the Bells

KALAHARI Unleashes A New Version of Carol of the Bells

Christmas has never been so heavy! Italian alternative metal band KALAHARI released his own stunning version of Carol of the Bells, full of groovy creepy sections, as well as epic ones! To celebrate the event, the band released a brand-new video for the track: https://bit.ly/3h7GIGd

The story of this cover comes from afar, as the singer Nicola Pellacani tells us:

At the beginning of December 2019, before Coronavirus and other black magics were a thing, the staff from "Legend Club" in Milan reached out to us, inviting Kalahari to take part in the annual "Ugly Xmas Jumper Jam Session". Requirements to attend? Wear the cringe Xmas sweater you have and play a Xmas song cover. Back then we had very little time to get the song ready, but that is the type of challenge that we Kalahari love! That's when the first version of our Carol of the Bells came up, and after that beautiful live show, we were left with a bit of hunger to develop more this great Xmas classic, derived from a popular chant.

We are super satisfied with the final result, and for this reason we want to thank one more time our dear friend and incredible professional Jonathan Mazzeo, of "The Grid Europe". Now, we invite you to open your ears, to headbang and we want to wish everybody happy holidays. This is our present for you!

This was a very special year for KALAHARI. The band imposed himself as one of the hottest revelations on the international metal scene and his debut EP called Theia has been received very well by the specialized press. The band is working on the songs that will be part of the new album, of which the release date has not been announced yet.

Infernal Torment: "Man's True Nature" also re-released in CD and red LP

After totally selling out, in just a few weeks, the previously announced three different colours LP reissues (yellow, green and black), "Man's True Nature", Infernal Torment infamous opus, will now get new formats on the official release date: 29th January 2020.

An aptly blood-red vinyl LP (300 copies, hand-numbered) and a CD (limited to 500 units) are the new chosen formats to complete the reissue of this dirty motherfucker of a classic death metal album, on it's 25th anniversary!

“Man’s True Nature”, INFERNAL TORMENT’s debut album, was ahead of its time in 1995. Recorded by a band whose members, later on, went to join the ranks of Illdisposed and Dawn Of Demise, it was received with awe and shock by the death metal community. To commemorate its 25th anniversary, it was released in vinyl for the first time via Emanzipation Productions on December 18th 2020, sold exclusively via Targetshop.dk. Now, the blood-red vinyl LP, the CD and the digital versions will get an official worldwide release on January 29th 2021.

“Man’s True Nature” was recorded in the summer of 1995 at the legendary Borsing Studio with producer Jan Borsing (Illdisposed etc.), who captured the perfect brutal death metal sound Infernal Torment was looking for, deeply inspired by US bands like Suffocation. Jakob Batten, guitarist and composer, recalls from the studio session “We wanted to make an album that made Cannibal Corpse look like the Pet Shop Boys. The keyword was BRUTALITY. We used a bass amp for the guitars in an attempt to make it all deeper and oompf. It was a hot summer back in 1995 and we were recording in a dark cellar with no windows, no daylight in sight. In Scott’s words: It’s more brutal to be pale...!”.

"Man's True Nature" will be released in vinyl (blood-red LP, limited to 300 copies, hand-numbered), CD (limited to 500 copies) and digital on January 29th 2021. Pre-orders here.

In 1995, after two well-received demos, Infernal Torment released their debut album “Man’s True Nature”. Besides the rabid and aggressive take on death metal, the album release was marked by the countless problems the cover artworks caused the Danish band, being banned practically everywhere. Tim Lynge, promoter at now closed-down Diehard Records, who originally released the album on CD back in in 1995 recalls “Calling the guys to inform about interviews, asking for tour dates etc., was like talking to angels in disguises. First, and as always, the cover which was censored in various countries was an eye opener, but the music spoke for itself. Didn’t take long for fans and media to discover that. As Headfucker Magazine’s, Raffaella Guerini, so truly said: “Hard to believe those little Beasts are so young!” ...and hit’em with yet a 10 out of 10. Youngsters who managed to create a little cute, but mature Beast. Not only impressive, BRILLIANT!”.

Scott Jensen, Infernal Torment’s vocalist and today in Dawn Of Demise, comments about the album and the artwork “Back then we just wanted to play some brutal death metal and we wanted the lyrics to reflect that. I guess they turned out a bit too exaggerated/graphical. I like that. And the cover fits that “concept” perfectly”.

Infernal Torment went on to record and release the more melodic and complex follow-up album, “Birthrate Zero” in 1998, and shortly after disbanded, with key members joining bands such as Illdisposed and Dawn Of Demise. However, “Man’s True Nature” remains one of the ugliest and most non compromising brutal albums in the history of Scandinavian death metal! And now it will finally be available on LP for the first time ever on the 18th December exclusively through targetshop.dk after a huge demand from death metal fans worldwide.

Recording line up:
Steffan Larsen - bass
Poul Winther - lead guitars
Jacob Hansen - guitars
Martin Boris - drums
Scott Jensen - vocals
