MAGICK TOUCH premiere special concert film "Live and Contagious"

Today, hard rockin' Norwegians Magick Touch premiere a special concert film titled Live and Contagious

Come on and join one of the few hard rock shows that happened in Bergen during 2020 after the pandemic struck. During a few weeks in October, venues were allowed to arrange gigs for a maximum of 200 people, and the first time Magick Touch performed in front of a seated audience. It was certainly a night to remember for both the band and the crowd! Take your seat in the front row and join the live magick in this hot 'n' smokey six-song excerpt of the show HERE.

(The show was arranged in line with Norwegian Covid-19 regulations, and all recommended measures were in place.)

Vocalist/bassist Christer Ottesen explains the story: "In March 2020, Magick Touch were catapulted home from an ongoing tour in Germany. Our big homecoming gig was postponed, then cancelled. Our third album, Heads Have Got To Rock’n’Roll, was released in June without a single tour or gig in sight. Luckily, a tiny window of opportunity opened in October 2020. The venue could only operate on a 25% of capacity crowd, with QR codes, people sitting in ‘bubbles,’ and table-service merch. So, what was it gonna be like? A massive heavy metal show in a dim-lit restaurant? Well, now you can see for yourself. Magick Touch brought more amps, lights, and smoke than ever before.  A real guillotine. And a band on fire. We did it because - you know - You Can’t Stop Rock’n’Roll."

Adds guitarist H.K. Rein, "In a year where charming concerts are streaming from the bedroom, Magick Touch bring you the full deal, and where the band meets the audience and they both feed off each other's energy, just like it used to be..."

"Thanks to the promotors and crew at our local venue USF," concludes drummer Bård Nordvik. "We got the opportunity to play a full-fledged show in front of a maximum 'corona capacity' of 200 people. ONE show is infinitely better than NO show. We wanted to share this special event, this 'once in a corona time' concert with all of you who miss a real live rock 'n' roll show as much as we do!”"

Finnish/Greek symphonic metal band Scarlet Desire released their new single “Maiden of Snow”.....!!!

On February 20th, 2021, the Finnish/Greek symphonic metal band Scarlet Desire released their new single “Maiden of Snow”.

An official lyric video of the single “MAIDEN OF SNOW” is now available on their official YouTube channel!

The official lyric video of the single MAIDEN OF SNOW can be found here:

SCARLET DESIRE's music is dark, romantic gothic metal with symphonic elements like symphonic orchestration and powerful female opera vocals. The female vocalist Danae Komodromou has a classical background and she is an educated soprano. Her vocals are very powerful and she has a very big vocal range (3 and half octaves) and she can also sing extremely high notes and different styles when needed. The result is very classical-sounding powerful symphonic metal with a dark and unique sound.

The song was originally recorded a long time ago, but was changed, produced and enhanced along the way to be what it is now. Oliver Palotai, keyboardist from Kamelot, brought beautiful orchestrations to the song and Heikki Pöyhiä from Finland did some growl vocals as well.

Mixing and mastering was done by Jacob Hansen, who has been recording, mixing and mastering some of the best metal bands out there like Amaranthe, Delain, Volbeat and Kamelot for example. He really understood our sound and made the song sound big and powerful.

Newcomer crossover thrash/death duo EXECUTIONIST stream their debut EP, “Destined For Destruction”

Executionist is a two-piece thrash metal group from Charleston, West Virginia.

The members are Brett Ash (guitars, vocals, bass) and his younger brother Tristan (drums, backing vocals).

At the time of writing and recording their debut EP, "Destined For Destruction," the brothers were 17 and 13 years old, respectively.

While drawing inspiration from old school thrash bands, such as Metallica, Slayer, Kreator, and Exodus, the brothers also get a great deal of inspiration from newer bands such as Warbringer, Havok, Invicta, and Raider.

The resulting blend of metal is one that has the crushing riffs of the 80's and the melodic harmonies and leads that have gotten more popular over time. Brett's main guitar influences include Randy Rhoads, Gary Holt, and Kyle Edissi. As for his vocals, he draws inspiration from Chuck Billy, John Kevill, and Rob Dukes.

Tristan's main drumming influences are Shareef Hassanien, Gene Hoglan and Dave Lombardo.

With their EP released on January 27th of 2021, Executionist looks to continue writing music for their eventual full length release.

Helestios streams their debut “Your Pain Tastes Good”

https://helestios.bandcamp.com/album/your-pain-tastes-good

Lead Tracks: Black Storm; Return to Baalbek; Sacrifice; Downgraded World

Helestios is a mixed genres metal band formed in Basingstoke, England in early 2020.

Helestios comprise Henrijs Leja (vocals/guitar); Stelios Aggelis (lead guitar); Ian den Boer (drums) and Agnis Aldiņš (bass), hailing from Latvia, Greece and Netherlands but now based around Basingstoke.

Their sound takes on board both traditional metal riffing and melodic structure as well as more aggressive and atmospheric tones, such as Agnis’ throat singing intro to Sacrifice and the Lebanese prayer intro to Return to Baalbek recorded by Henrijs in 2019 whilst mass protests against the government in the Lebanese city raged around him.

The album is non-compromising yet immediately accessible, from Sacrifice, which reflects humankind’s inability to avoid killing each other, to Black Storm, a churning sea of riffs and tales told in the ancient mythologies of Syria and Egypt to All Attack, a song written in support of the Belorussian people who have spent recent months fighting to overthrow what many see as one of the last tyrannies of Europe.

For the fans of: Rotting Christ, Samael, melodic death metal, power/thrash
