Retched - Horrific - (Old School Thrash)

For fans of old school thrash metal

Retched is a solo band by David DerMinasian. Retched plays Old School Thrash Metal.

He is originally from Del Rey, CA ., a small farming town in Fresno County California . He has recently completed his home studio and is currently working on his new single called " HORRIFIC "! The new single will be available on all digital platforms by the end of 2020 or soon after that. It is also the title track of his next full length album to be released on CD and Vinyl later next year in 2022! Of course in these uncertain times it could take longer.

Retched has come back to the scene after 30 years of being gone and released an older EP called:

" The Overlord Messiah "

It is a " True Metal " EP recorded in 1988 by his first band called " AVATAR " but was never released till 2017. He is still hoping his old band mates will contact him so he can get them on board for " The Overlord Messiah " EP. It can be found here: https://alone.gr/shop/ and on all the links here on his page: https://retched-metal.com

"It was a very awesome experience that the Metal communities around the world have welcomed me back to the scenes after all these years." - David DerMinasian

This release was abandoned since 1988 all these years sitting in a drawer in his house for near 30 years! All the while he would take it out every 5 to 10 years and spin it a few times then put it away wishing he could have released it to the world.

After he decided to come back to the scene and write music again he started his journey to put his new music together. It took a few years till he was realistically able to get to this point but in the meantime he released this record of his old band while he brings you his newest work: " HORRIFIC "

He first released " The Overlord Messiah " on Bandcamp then about 40 days later he had 3 record label offers! He chose a limited run with Alone Records in Greece .

Now he is an Independent artist with CD Baby .

"This only proves one thing, YOU CAN'T KILL THE METAL" - David DerMinasian

BACKDRIVE Now Streaming New Video for “I Can’t Breathe”; Debut Album “Violent Seduction” Out March 5, 2021

Germany’s heavy metal band BACKDRIVE will be unleashing their debut album Violent Seduction on March, 5th and a few days ago have released a video for the single I Can’t Breathe.

The sound of Violent Seduction can be best summed up in one word: fat. Different influences from classic rock, metal, and thrash to desert rock and metalcore shaped the style of BACKDRIVE.  All members have been involved in the creation of the songs and contributed with their personal touch. The result is a unique mixture of deep melodic guitar riffs, a progressive bass and drum sound and rough, driving vocals.

Watch the video for I Can’t Breathe on YouTube - https://youtu.be/eSblj6R5ML0

Following the first video Scream, BACKDRIVE's second video reveals the anxiety of generations first deprived of a true "social pact" and then pointed out as responsible for problems not dependent on them. "I Can’t Breathe is a sentence that has burned itself into the collective memory of an entire generation...", singer Felix describes the title of the song, "...dealing with increasing violence in our society is a dominant theme of the album".

Violent Seduction has been recorded, mixed, and mastered at WideSoundStudio by Dirk Weidmann, while the artwork is by Franco Ergoi.

Follow BACKDRIVE on Spotify (https://spoti.fi/37Okgyj) and on the main social networks! A CD version will be ready soon!

Gorr - Kvit Som Snøen, Kald I Blikket Release date: Monday, March 1st 2021

An homage to our history, the blood of our ancestors, the hard work that was the foundation of our existence, but also the fear, the sacrifice and the unforgiving conditions the people of our past endured. Kvit Som Snøen, Kald i Blikket, literally «White as snow, cold stare» draws a line from the present time to a distant past and thus points at the timelessness experienced in our immediate surroundings. The duality in relying on nature for survival and the very clear sense of doom that follows closely is reflected through this album. Life and death, combat and construction, noble goals and meaningless losses. This is Kvit Som Snøen, Kald i Blikket.

About Gorr

Inspired by a time when people lived and died close to nature. When survival meant trusting and fighting the elements. When the winters bore promise of lethal storms and darkness could consume everything. When mythical creatures hid in the darkness and people told stories of close calls and tragic death. These are Gorr’s roots.

Gorr is Skuggimadr and Hateful Wind, a Norwegian Black Metal project originating from the North Western coast of Norway. The origin and important source of inspiration is the Island Gossen, West of Molde.

The project’s name Gorr is intimately connected to the island, and it embodies several dimensions. One of them is a 1000-year-old legend which tells the story of King Gor(r) who conquered the entire Norwegian coastline while searching for his abducted sister. Allegedly, the king lived on the island for some time, hence it was called Gorsey (Gor’s island), which over time and under influence of different dialects and languages morphed into Gossen.

New video clip of Saedin "Corazón Nazarí"

"From Granada, for Andalusia, Spain and Humanity" ... This is how the Saedín people of Granada wanted to commemorate Andalusia Day by presenting a home video made in the perimeter confinement.

The chosen theme has been "Corazón Nazarí" which tells the story of the last Muslim king that the city of La Alhambra had, a theme belonging to the new album "Entre Ríos".

With a waste of energy, dynamic shots and good vibes they have managed to bring us a little closer to them and thus imagine what the performances that are to come and that their fans are so eager for will be.

AEONBLACK – THE TIME WILL COME ( Review by Varg The Mighty )

Today’s review is of German Heavy Metal band Aeonblack’s new album.

This album is a classic dose of Teutonic Heavy Metal with bombastic solos and a slight approach to Speed Metal with a great Heavy Metal voice. The tracks are quite average yet memorable, and sometimes you may get some track that is quite epic with Dio influences, making the release quite diverse.

This album has some nice songs like “Spectre In Black”, “I Won’t Think About Tomorrow” or the power ballad “No Man’s Land”. Nonetheless, the whole LP seems somewhat excessive in length, and perhaps something more concise would be more enjoyable, although no track is especially dull and the selection would’ve been hard with the constant quality of the songs.

I recommend this album to fans of Teutonic Heavy Metal and Speed Metal. My rating is of 8/10.
