Germany's KARLOFF premiere new track at "Deaf Forever" magazine's website, set release date for DYING VICTIMS debut album

On July 30th internationally, Dying Victims Productions will release Karloff's highly anticipated debut album, The Appearing, on CD, vinyl LP, and cassette tape formats. And today, Deaf Forever magazine's website reveals the new track "A Violent Winter." Hear Karloff's "A Violent Winter" in its entirety exclusively HERE.

Hailing from Germany, Karloff formed in 2018 as a means for erstwhile Graveyard Ghoul member Tom Horrified to blow off some punk-oriented steam with a couple close comrades. Describing their sound as “raw obscure punk turns into blackness,” it didn’t take long for the band to record their first recording, Demo ’18, but it was the following Raw Nights mini-album a year later where Karloff kicked into high gear. Released to widespread acclaim by Dying Victims with the preceding demo tracks tacked on, Raw Nights strutted with sleazy confidence and an infectious sense of bash/crash/slash that struck deep into the heart of what makes the best of both punk and metal. But, the best was still come from Karloff

At last, it arrives with their long-awaited debut album, The Appearing. If Karloff’s previous two short-lengths presented them as a more gutter-level Midnight, then The Appearing recasts the band in a totally new, altogether more unique light – and one that’s still brimming with that ever-special twist of olde-worlde evil. Rich and robust and ripplingly muscular, The Appearing struts like a cheetah with a heart full of napalm and flexes like nobody’s business. In fact, the lead-heavy stomp here harkens to ancient-days metalpunk like Carnivore, Best Wishes-era Cro-Mags, or even early Nasty Savage; equally, one could also point to the more modern likes of Iron Age, Shitfucker, and The Rival Mob. However, the creepiness Karloff hinted at earlier reaches a fever pitch across the tastefully-applied chorus FX, a subtle nod to post-punk that ably broadens the band’s reach without sacrificing their vision. More than all that, it’s the songwriting of The Appearing which renders it an intensely re-playable record: exciting, invigorating, and skillfully finding that balance between the seemingly epic and the swiftly concise.

Ghouls and ghosts, thugs and thieves: Karloff are calling upon you to witness The Appearing!

SCHISMOPATHIC: Cult Polish Grindcore Outfit Presents First Album In Its Thirty-Three Year Existence; The Human Legacy To See May Release Via Selfmadegod Records + “Time Of History” Video Playing

Watch SCHISMOPATHIC’s “Time Of History” video HERE.

Cult Polish grindcore act SCHISMOPATHIC is back on the map with their first full-length since its inception in 1988! With twelve new songs recorded with two original members, The Human Legacy is old-school grindcore frenzy at its best! Selfmadegod will issue The Human Legacy in late May, today issuing an official video for the track “Time Of History.”

Founded in 1987 under the name Schismopathic Torment, in 1988 the band changed its name to SCHISMOPATHIC under the lineup of bassist Jacek B., guitarist Robert F., and vocalist/drummer Robert G. A year later, they released their debut demo, Kharkharamapathic Regurgitator, resulting in a plethora of shows throughout Poland with bands from the top tier of their country’s underground. In 1991, SCHISMOPATHIC recorded their debut album, D.E.M.O.C.R.A.C.Y., which, due to the band's suspension, was released with the first demo and live recordings in 2013 on CD, and then a few years later on LP via Selfmadegod Records.

The band’s reactivation in 2020 was preceded by a split 7” EP with Antigama, also released through Selfmadegod. The band reactivated in the original lineup but without Robert G., who was replaced on drums by Janek (ex-Psychoneurosis, ex-Bottom) and new vocalist Adrian. With this lineup, SCHISMOPATHIC composed and recorded material for the full album, The Human Legacy, which will now see release through Selfmadegod Records in May of 2021.

The Human Legacy was recorded and mixed at 125 Studio between May 2020 and March 2021, produced by Michal “Maly” Kwiecień. The record’s intro features Kwiecień and Artur “Janek” Jasiński, and the outro features Sebastian “Stecyk” Steć. The cover art and layout were handled by Jasiński and DIY Zrup Leprzy Prod. The track “Proof Of Ignorance” is a new version of the 1989 track “Construction Of Ignorance,” here re-recorded in a new arrangement with new lyrics.

COSCRADH stream new INVICTUS EP at "Decibel" magazine's website

Today, Irish black/death cult Coscradh stream the entirety of their brand-new EP, Mesradh Machae (The Heads of the Men Who Have Been Slaughtered), at Decibel magazine's website. Set for international release on May 7th via Invictus Productions on 7" vinyl format, hear Coscradh's Mesradh Machae (The Heads of the Men Who Have Been Slaughtered) in its entirety exclusively HERE.

Still one of Ireland's best-kept secrets if only because they've yet to release a full-length, Coscradh continue their ascent into blackened death's darkest depths with another short 'n' swift assault: Mesradh Machae (The Heads of the Men Who Have Been Slaughtered). Those who've thrilled to the band's debut demo in 2016 and especially the Of Death and Delirium EP the following year - both through Irish stronghold Invictus, natch - will be bloody chuffed by this two-song assault. Colorfully encompassing both the cover art and EP title, here Coscradh swarm with a fury that's utterly hideous and even gnarlier than those acclaimed predecessors. Everything across this EP just sounds twisted and horrific and WRONG; this may fall within the millleu of "black metal" and/or "death metal," but the ragged psychosis the quartet establish here suggests possibilities too terrible to contemplate.

Some bands wimp out as they go along - or "refine" their sensibilities, sometimes one and the same - but not for Coscradh: if anything, they're far uglier and dangerous than they were before. Good thing, then, that Mesradh Machae is but 13 unlucky minutes...any more than that and you'd be obliterated. As that inevitable debut album slowly rears its head, Coscradh succinctly explore their basest desires with this short/sharp/shocked EP!

Fully explore desires exclusively HERE, courtesy of Decibel, North America's only monthly metal magazine. Cover and tracklisting are as follows:

A 4 piece band out of Jacksonville Florida that plays deep in the swamp near a sewer plant. We started out as a punk rock band but began drifting towards doom metal on our first album. The first album was never released except on Bandcamp. We decided to embrace the doom and the swampy stench around us and so began the "Swamp Doom" sound. So we wrote all new material and recorded our first official LP, “Volume: 600”. It was well accepted, and we got picked up by Swamp Records.

Our music is heavy, doomy, and swampy. The lyrics tend to cover apocalyptic social issues, corruption, insanity, and drug related issues.
Lenny Smith is our crazy ass vocalist. Roland Dean is our guitar player and mad composer. Jason Morgan is the dirty bass player and evil lyricist. Capo is the ticking time bomb on drums holding down the groove.
