SARMAT (Death/Black Metal from Poland) "RS-28"Debut Full Length Album

SARMAT band was formed in 2018 by two guitarists: Daniel Szymanowicz (known from CALM HATCHERY - bass, ex-AGGRESSOR, ex-EXTREMIS NECROSIS) and Krzysztof Kopczeński (ex-SPIRIT CRUSHER, ex-CARNES). The guys have composed the music for the debut album quite fast and then have started the preparation for the recordings. They have invited Krzysztof Klingbein, the session drummer (known from DEATHSPAWN and many session recordings for plenty of bands) for cooperation. The recordings have been realized until the spring of 2020 year, when Łukasz Kobusiński (ex-MORTIS DEI, ex-PUKI 'MAHLU) was asked to work with SARMAT. He recorded vocal parts to the lyrics of the friend to the band. Vocal parts were recorded at Invent Sound Studio in Bydgoszcz, Poland by Szymon “Sigmar” Grodzki in summer 2020. In autumn that year the album was given to the hands of Arkadiusz “Malta” Malczewski, who mixed and mastered the stuff in Santa Studio in Warsaw, Poland. There are 8 songs lasting more than 33 minutes on “RS-28” album.

In the beginning of the 2021 year the band started to look for the label that could release their full-length debut. Some time has been wasted for someone’s incompetence. The decision about self-releasing has been made. The premiere was on March 19th 2021 (digital version available on band profile on Bandcamp).

The band name concept is based on THE WEAPON OF ULTIMATE DESTRUCTION – the Russian super-heavy intercontinental ballistic missile RS-28 SARMAT (also known as SATAN 2). Band lyrical themes are destruction, military industry and human fears and obsessions. The style of music played by SARMAT can be described as a mixture of death and black metal having dynamic character with a lot of fast parts, aggressive yet understandable vocal and compositions diversity.

TERMINALIST: The Great Acceleration Debut LP From Danish Thrash Metal Act Out Today Via Indisciplinarian

Copenhagen, Denmark-based thrash metal quartet TERMINALIST presents their debut LP, The Great Acceleration. Offering a distinct slap of progressive thrash metal with a profound sci-fi concept delivering massively on both visceral and intellectual levels, the album is out today through Indisciplinarian and is streaming in its entirety.

The world is ruled by speed. Speed which drives history forward in a state of ever-increasing acceleration. Such is the central claim of dromology; a theory of speed originated by French philosopher Paul Virilio (1932-2018). It is on this premise that TERMINALIST bases their conceptual universe. On The Great Acceleration, they bring the dromocratic philosophy together with their own science fiction narratives as they describe a world in crisis and a planet in collapse being abandoned in favor of colonization of space.

TERMINALIST uses the lens of dromology to describe the duality of technology and investigate Virilio’s thesis that the invention of the ship was also the invention of the shipwreck; continuing the thrash metal tradition of political criticism and pessimism about the future. Yet, the band’s output fits in among a new generation of metal bands using the genre’s monstrous sounds to illustrate the downfall of modern society in favor of something new and unknown. This is conveyed in a sound which is fast and aggressive, melodic, and dynamic; catchy yet technical.

The Great Acceleration was recorded and produced by Lasse Ballade (Konvent, Alkymist, Deiquisitor, Slægt, Orm) at Ballade Studios in Copenhagen during the summer of 2020, mastered by V. Santura (Triptykon, Dark Fortress) at Woodshed Studio in Germany, and completed with fascinating artwork created by Ryan T. Hancock.

“We like fast music around these parts and TERMINALIST certainly fit that description. The Danish thrashers look to the genre classics and update them, incorporating blast beats, death growls, modern production and concepts based around the theory of speed, coming full circle on new album The Great Acceleration. Those who like to delve into concepts will find plenty on The Great Acceleration, including explorations of the duality of technology and the disasters that followed its invention.” – Decibel Magazine

TERMINALIST are the sort of band who could pass many listeners by – in a warp-speed blur, probably. Thrash veterans looking for a true head-rush would do well to hand themselves over for The Great Acceleration’s half-hour of power, though. Just be sure to strap yourselves in for a wild ride.” – Kerrang

“The Great Acceleration hits the nail firmly on the head with a satisfying blend of accessibility and technical expertise that culminates in an exhilarating collection of tracks. The quartet have shown they are just as comfortable tackling tracks of considerable length as they are firing out pieces at the shorter end of the spectrum. If this is just the tip of the iceberg for TERMINALIST then they certainly have a very bright future ahead of them.” – Distorted Sound Magazine

“The self-described hyperthrash band is at times progressive, brutal, and unrelentingly fast.” – Ghost Cult Magazine

CRIMSON DIMENSION premiere new track at NoCleanSinging.com

Today, blackened progressive metallers Crimson Dimension premiere the new track "Age of Awakening" at heavily trafficked web-portal NoCleanSinging.com. The track is the second to be revealed from the band's  highly anticipated self-titled debut album, set for international release on June 4th via Spread Evil Productions. Hear Crimson Dimension's "Age of Awakening" in its entirety exclusively HERE.

Although appearing as a new entity, the origins of Finland's Crimson Dimension date back to 2017 or perhaps even earlier. That year, the band revealed the staggeringly epic track "Black Mass," which vividly displayed 12 minutes of blackened progressive metal. That Crimson Dimension stress this difference - blackened progressive metal, instead of "progressive black metal" - is telling, as their spectrum of sounds & sensations encompasses a far wider range than the usually-obsidian hues of black metal, no matter how extended or extrapolated.

While years of seeming silence followed, Crimson Dimension were patiently crafting their long-form debut, now emerging as Crimson Dimension. If the dozen minutes of "Black Mass" dazzled in their generous buffet of adventurous metallics, then the three accompanying songs surrounding it on the album go even deeper and darker than that already-not-inconsiderable feat. With all four songs combining for nearly an hour's worth of music, Crimson Dimension go all in on painting a dark, dynamic, and detouring canvas beyond compare. To be sure, the root sounds are decidedly black metal in origin, but with the quintet's enviable chops put squarely in the service of The Song and no texture considered too taboo, Crimson Dimension mystifies and mesmerizes with ever-shifting ease. In fact, for each of its component tracks going well into the double digits, the album's deceptively compact; those Herculean minutes pass ever so quickly, so thrilling and storytelling is Crimson Dimension's songcraft.

With Finland having such a rich history of black metal, both purist and progressive, Crimson Dimension make a bold, bold-from-the-blue bid for the weird 'n' wild throne built by the likes of ...And Oceans, Enochian Crescent, and Trollheims Grott with their Crimson Dimension debut!

In the meantime, hear the brand-new track "Age of Awakening" exclusively HERE, courtesy of NoCleanSinging.com. Also hear the previously revealed "Crimson Dimension" HERE. Cover and tracklisting are as follows:
