Peruvian Thrash/ Death Metallers MAZE OF TERROR, are back with their long-awaited 2nd album "Offer to the Fucking Beasts".

"Offer to the Fucking Beasts" will be released on August 26th via Xtreem Music (digital and CD).

MAZE OF TERROR was born in 2011 with the aim of creating a raw and devastating Thrash/ Death Metal and released their 1st EP "Skullcrusher" in 2012, followed by a split CD with AMKEN in 2015 and then their debut full-length album "Ready to Kill" in 2016. Later in 2017, another split CD came out, this time with WITCHAVEN and in 2018 the band self-released a digital-only EP entitled "Evoked Black Souls", just when the band got signed with Xtreem Music. Following this, the band released a demo in 2019 and a split album with WOLFSTORM in February 2021.

"Offer to the Fucking Beasts" will have 10 songs of an intense, savage and catchy Thrash/ Death influenced by bands like INFERNÄL MÄJESTY, MERCILESS, MASSACRA, PROTECTOR, DEMOLITION HAMMER and SARCÓFAGO.

GRIM FATE and THE SOMBRE to release split album thru CHAOS RECORDS, reveal first tracks

[Grim Fate]

Today, Chaos Records announces September 10th as the international release date for a special split album between Grim Fate and The Sombre, From Ancient Slumber / The Horrid Silence Thus Began, on CD format. Featuring two still-young titans of doomed-out death metal, this split album features three exclusive tracks from both bands, with Grim Fate's half titled From Ancient Slumber and The Sombre's The Horrid Silence Thus Began.

Hailing from the Netherlands, Grim Fate was formed in 2017 by Wim and Pier to create some dark, brutal, and doomy death metal. The both of them started spreading their ideas and composing full force. Influenced by the old Finnish scene and bands like Incantation, they tried to create their own brand of dark death metal. After the release of the Emerging From the Crypt EP, Philippus joined the band. The first result of this new lineup was a split 7" with Putrevore and, soon after that, the debut full-length Perished in Torment in 2020. With more momentum and growing compositional prowess, the power-trio here deliver three gutted & gargantuan tracks, their doom vibes less catatonic and more like slow-rolling dread. Then again, given their native land's proud lineage of doomy death, this growing supremacy should not be surprising...

[The Sombre]

The Sombre is the work of Maurice de Jong, insanely prolific mainman of Gnaw Their Tongues, De Magia Veterum, Cloak of Altering, Hagetisse, Golden Ashes, and countless others. With The Sombre, however, de Jong returns to his roots. Having spent his formative musical years in doom and doom-death metal bands (1989-1996: Atrocious, Cauteror, and Soulwound), de Jong now reimagines the sound of his youth: doom-death metal inspired by the "Peaceville Three" and other early '90s doom/death pioneers. As The Sombre, he released two super-limited albums - Into the Beckoning Wilderness in 2019 (which Chaos Records reissued in a much-wider edition in March 2021) and 2020's Shapeless Misery - and now delivers his first new tracks since then. Just as cathartic as ever, this trifecta of tracks is wide open, in every sense of the word: space, atmosphere, paradoxically crushing heaviness, and indeed most of all, heart-torn-open emotion. Truly, The Sombre's more traditional death-doom sound is a perfect complement to Grim Fate's slo-mo bulldozing.

Totaling 43 minutes, From Ancient Slumber / The Horrid Silence Thus Began is a crucial work for fans of both Grim Fate and The Sombre as well as any maniacs into death metal's most doomed landscapes.

In the meantime, hear two brand-new tracks from the split - Grim Fate's "Corpse Eater" and The Sombre's "The Horrid Silence Thus Began" - HERE at Chaos Records' Bandcamp. Preorder info can be found HERE. Cover and tracklisting are as follows:

Trapézia - 'ECILA' (2021)

Trapézia brings the more artistic side of Thais, who has always been very shy and reserved and who found in her musical project a way to express herself and to overcome great personal barriers that until then, seemed to be unattainable goals. Thais Lyrica believes that dreams are possible, but dreaming is not enough! Considered a dreamer without limits, she has a lot of determination to make all these dreams come true. Graduated in Fashion Design and with an alternative fashion brand, with the same name as her musical project, she uses all her knowledge to insert a retro-futuristic visual concept in her music, all costumes are made by herself. With her debut in music, Thaís presents a fantastic world inspired by Alice in Wonderland, where every detail, from the lyrics to the costumes, were idealized by Thais. With an authentic look, technology and innovative designs, Trapezia takes you on a fantastic journey  into the world of ECILA.

Authorial melodic metal band founded by artist Thaís Lyrica, who since a very young age has been in contact with music under the influence of her father. She began singing studies at age 16, but only began dedicating to singing in 2018. The universe of authorial music happened by chance, in 2019, after enrolling in an authorial music contest, in which she decided to participate, just a week away to the end of registration – a moment when she revealed his musical talent to everyone, including family members who were unaware of her musical journey.

Trapézia is preparing to release a new EP, entitled 'ECILA'which will be released on July 13th. The band is looking forward to hearing your opinion on the new work!

‘ECILA’ is a predominantly female name of Greek origin meaning "True, Authentic, True", being an anagram of the name Alice. The songs tread through a bucolic and gloomy setting and the character is always in conflict with her mind and she never knows what is real.

DEEPER GRAVES: Solo Project Of Chrome Waves’ Jeff Wilson Completes New Album And Confirms Fall US Tour Dates

DEEPER GRAVES – the solo project of Jeff Wilson (Chrome Waves, ex-Nachtmystium, ex-Wolvhammer) – has completed its second LP and is finalizing the as-yet-unnamed record for release this Fall. The album is being scheduled to coincide with the outfit’s newly confirmed set of tour dates which have just been announced.

Far removed from the metal output he is known for releasing over the past two decades or more, with DEEPER GRAVES, Wilson creates lush soundscapes and slow-paced rock movements that venture further into the realms of his post-punk, shoegaze, and alternative influences, with elements tracing to foundational acts like Bauhaus and Joy Division.

The debut DEEPER GRAVES album, Open Roads, was recorded at Wilson’s Disorder Recordings label headquarters during last year’s Covid lockdowns and released in July 2020. The record saw Wilson handling all writing, instrumentation, production, and more, with guest contributions from Bruce Lamont (Yakuza, Corrections House, Brain Tentacles), actress/musician Darja Vaarsi (California Widow), and composer/musician Chris Brown (Kakophonix).

While the follow-up to the debut is being finalized, DEEPER GRAVES announces the outfit’s first tour dates. The Open Roads tour will originate in Indianapolis on November 5th and will slither across the country in a winding path, ending in Cleveland on December 18th. Additional info on the DEEPER GRAVES set, additional acts on the shows, and more will be issued over the weeks ahead alongside details for the act’s new album.

Open Roads is available on limited CD and digitally through Disorder Recordings HERE. Also watch the videos for “Leave This World” HERE and “Last Transmission” HERE.

Germany's NOCTURNAL premiere new video at "Rock Hard" magazine's website

Today, German thrash institution Nocturnal premiere the new video "Bleeding Heaven" at Rock Hard magazine's website. The track is the second to be revealed from the band's long-awaited fourth album, Serpent Death, set for international release on August 27th via Dying Victims Productions. See & hear Nocturnal's "Bleeding Heaven" video in its entirety exclusively HERE.

A veritable institution, Nocturnal have been flying the flag of hate and inciting a riot of violence since the year 2000. Helmed by founding guitarist Avenger (whose other credits are far too vast to list here), Nocturnal set about their prolific course with a flurry of demo tapes and splits with the likes of Nunslaughter, Vomitor, Bestial Mockery, and Toxic Holocaust among others, all culminating in their momentous Arrival of the Carnivore debut album in 2005. Back then, hailing the old Teutonic gods of thrash – namely the “Big Three” of Sodom, Kreator, and Destruction, but not withstanding Deathrow, Assassin, Exumer, Darkness, Violent Force, and Necronomicon as well as Razor and early Sepultura abroad  – was rather unfashionable, but it was Nocturnal who had the last laugh, as the second worldwide thrash resurgence was about to begin, and there they stood, undaunted and defiant.

Thereafter, Nocturnal continued to honor the old underground ways with another flurry splits and vinyl EPs, before second LP Violent Revenge arrived in 2009. Thus far, Nocturnal’s albums were more finely honed and better-produced expressions of those prolific UG releases, and they kept apace with that schematic through the release of their third LP, Storming Evil, in 2014. By then, lineup troubles had begun to plague the band and slow their momentum, and thereafter was all quiet on the Western front. But at long last, the ultimate revenge arrives with Serpent Death!

As aptly titled as any Nocturnal full-length so far, Serpent Death slithers and strikes with a venomous menace. Arguably the band’s best-produced as well as best-played record to date, Serpent Death loses not an ounce of power and poignancy; if anything, Nocturnal sound more energetic than ever, revitalized and ripping and defying their seemingly advanced age. Whereas the preceding Storming Evil perhaps leaned too much on the cleaner side of things, Serpent Death is robustly analog, flexing both muscle and clarity, all while remaining steadfastly analog. Further, there’s more (but subtle) twists in the songwriting and dynamics, evincing an ageless metal wisdom whilst not sacrificing any urgency in the process. Avenger, as always, is an absolute riff-machine, firing off memorable lines right and left, but he’s more-than-ably backed up by a blood-red-vital rhythm section in bassist Incinerator and drummer John Berry. New vocalist Invoker has a rougher and more hollering voice, perfectly suited for these classic metal-inclined tunes. So, less “sharp” pure thrash and more “warmer” traditional metal: it’s a trade-off that pays in spades on Serpent Death.

Timeless, eternal, both behind the times and ahead of ‘em – there’s few bands with a body of work quite like Nocturnal. Even if it’s another five-plus years between albums, Serpent Death handily satisfies with a sound that’s so old, it’s new!
