 Blackened Melodic Death Metal veterans WITHERING SOUL are proud to announce forthcoming album Last Contact.. The album will be released September 24 on Mortal Music.

The band released the following statement concerning Last Contact:

"WITHERING SOUL continues with their fourth installment of blackened melodic death metal, dramatic mood swings and eerie atmospheres. Last Contact is an anthology of stories that blur the line between the living and deceased and elaborates on the idea of receiving a communication from someone or something that no longer exists. Anything from a voice recording, a distress signal, to a star flickering in the night sky. The observer is left only to their interpretation, unsuspecting of what could potentially be something far more sinister than what appears. Reality is sometimes the scariest narrative of all!"

After finding herself at a cross road in the music industry and wanting more Mizzie rounded up members from other bands (stole them) and started rehearsing and performing live with her original music. Mizzie Maxx is the ultimate bad ass front woman who struts her stuff with confidence. Her performances are never dull. She morphes from a punk princess to a rock queen showing her versatility and testament to her growth as a musician. The band is a powerhouse combination of your 80s rock with a punk attitude. They have one aim and that’s to have fun and play music. Together they are Mizfits and Bratz just like their fans that have come together for the love of rock n roll, and are hell bent on delivering a rock show. Line-up: Mizzie Maxx - Lead Singer/Guitarist Slije McSkreech - Bass Guitar Shep - Drums About Militaria Follow Militaria on Social Media Released under the name Militaria, Remains With Pain comprises nine tracks of pure thrash mayhem conceptually based around the Vietnam War and the bravery and desolation felt by those who fought it. Inspired by the mastery of Sodom’s 1989 release Agent Orange, Chalky set out to make a thrash fuelled homage to metal utilising the skills and expertise of musicians he has played with over the years. After setting his sights on writing his own album over five years ago, Chalky laid down the initial drum tracks for Remains With Pain back in 2016, painstakingly narrowing down a plethora of ideas into the nine that appear on the album. While often a labour of love that seemed destined to never reach the ears of the music world, Chalky’s ambitious project began to take shape and eventually manifested itself into the four-track EP Cyclonic Desolation that added impetus to Chalky’s resolve. The EP’s response spurred him on to finish the album and in early 2020 an assembled collection of musicians from some of Brisbane’s finest bands joined forces to begin tracking the songs, finally wrapping up earlier this year. Members of Wartooth, Odius, Asylum, Idle Ruin, Bone Marrow, Seraphic, Deraign and more helped bring Chalky’s vision to life, with the young drummer now setting his sights on releasing a music video and a documentary detailing the journey of the album from conception to release. Plans are underway to take the project on the road as a guitar fuelled performance with backing tracks, with work on the follow-up already underway. Further expanding the involvement of local musicians, Chalky will look beyond his home base for the next album, setting his sights on a national scale with a range of his peers and contemporaries. About Rawtism Follow Rawtism on Social Media Do you like 80's thrash metal? Then good for you you can listen to it all you like but if you want a fresh original take on 80's thrash. Formed in Melbourne in June 2019 by vocalist and guitarist Keefy, drummer Rorz and original bassist Renj, Rawtism hit the scene in November 2019 with a sound that embodies their passion of metal and rock and determination to put on a huge show. In January 2020, Naimo took over bass duties and they became far more rock solid ever since with stage presence and an arsenal of sound. Rawtism has a mixture of influences that builds their sound and show. Mostly from 80's American thrash metal bands like Metallica, Megadeth, Slayer, Exodus and Overkill. Others including Kreator, Sodom, Motorhead, Mortal Sin, Hobb's Angel of Death, AC/DC, Thin Lizzy and Rush. Their show brings a range of punching riffs, blistering solos, slamming drum beats, flurrying fills, thumping bass lines and long gravel screams along with dynamic stage presence and witty on stage banter in between. Their songs contains lyrics and subjects that is relatable to the average metal fan from getting screwed over by the man to going to a gig hungover after a gig before. They are a lot of thrash acts in this city but there's nothing on Earth that could make fans go more than ballistic, they go “Rawtistic”.
