Melodic metal project Trapézia releases new EP ‘ECILA’

Bringing together magic and retro-futuristic concepts, the Trapézia project shares its debut EP titled ‘ECILA’, which is available on all digital platforms from today, July 13th. The EP features the special participation of renowned musician Fernando Quesada (General Director of the music school group SCHOOL OF ROCK BRASIL), who has played in the bands Shaman and Noturnall, and currently plays in Armored Dawn.

In her first musical work, artist Thaís Lyrica uses all her knowledge of fashion training to insert a retrofuturistic visual concept into her music. With the release of ‘ECILA’, the artist presents us with a fantastic world inspired by Alice in Wonderland, a work by Lewis Carrol, where every detail, from the letters to the costumes, were conceived and made by Thais. With an authentic and steampunk look, Trapezia takes you on a fantastic journey into the world of ECILA.

‘ECILA’ is a predominantly female name of Greek origin meaning "True, Authentic, True", being an anagram of the name Alice. The EP tells the story of a fairy, named Ecila, who has the power to transform into any species. The songs tread through a bucolic and gloomy setting and the character is always in conflict with her mind and she never knows what is real.

An authorial project of melodic metal, Trapézia was founded by artist Thaís Lyrica, who has been in contact with music from a very young age, influenced by her father, who was a musician. She began her singing studies at age 16, but she only started to dedicate herself to singing lessons in 2018. The universe of authorial music happened by chance in the life of Thais, who in 2019 after enrolling in an authorial music competition, in which she decided to participate, just a week before the closing of registrations – a moment in 2019 when she revealed her musical talent to everyone, including family members who, until then, did not know about her musical journey.

Trapézia brings the more artistic side of Thais, who has always been very shy and reserved and who found in her musical project a way to express herself and, to overcome great personal barriers that until then, seemed to be unattainable goals, Thaís Lyrica believes that dreams are possible, but dreaming is not enough! She considers herself a dreamer without limits, but you have to have a lot of determination for all these dreams to come true! Thais has a degree in Fashion Design and has an alternative fashion brand, with the same name as its musical project.

Additional Information:

Always moving between Thrash and Death Metal, Chaosfear have released three studio albums, EPs and singles, with excellent press reviews. Brazilian and international metal giants shared the stage with Chaosfear until the break in their activities in 2012. In 2018, a new line-up returns with full force, incorporating new elements and a more modern side within their original influences. Cleaner, lower, melancholic and aggressive vocals, along with more emotional themes linked to life's trials, troubled periods and the desire to get out of times of darkness were central points in this reinvention.

The band's latest album, "Be The Light In Dark Days", was released during the pandemic showing that with the coming of contemporary Thrash Metal the band has grown a lot and has also decided that no comfort zone would be allowed. The album has received extremely positive reviews, reaching top positions in most best albums of 2020 charts. Fernando Boccomino (vocals/guitar), Eduardo Boccomino (guitar), Marco Nunes (bass/producer) and Fabio Moyses (drums) had a dream come true by re-recording the timeless Thrash Metal classic "The Toxic Waltz" by the American Giants Exodus, with none other than Steve 'Zetro' Souza himself, lead singer of the band, in a brutal duet with Fernando. At the moment, the band is writing new material ready to be released soon.

Emperors & Angels

The band was formed in 2020 by 4 long-time friends and musical counterparts.
Each having success on multiple scales, the right time presented itself providing safe passage for Emperors & Angels to surface.

The quartet began writing and soon found producer Paul Trust “Starset”

Taking encouragement and advice from famed A&R Diana Meltzer (Wind-Up Records, Creed, Evanescence, Finger Eleven, Drowning Pool and many others) the band is readying for launch 2021. Currently EA has inked a distribution deal with Curtain Call Records / The Orchard Sony
Already making headway and gaining national / International traction

DUNGEON SERPENT: No Clean Singing Streams Entire Debut Album From British Columbia-Based Death Metal Act; World Of Sorrows Sees Release Through Nameless Grave Records This Friday

"...pyrotechnic guitar mastery that drops jaws.” - No Clean Singing

Stream DUNGEON SERPENT’s World Of Sorrows HERE.

No Clean Singing is hosting an exclusive stream of World Of Sorrows, the debut album from Vancouver, British Columbia-based melodic death metal solo outfit DUNGEON SERPENT. The advance listen comes just days ahead of the record’s release this Friday through Nameless Grave Records.

World Of Sorrows was written by DUNGEON SERPENT’s architect Arawn, who performs guitars, vocals, and bass, and programming. The record was recorded January through March of 2021 at 6085 Productions by producer J. Hook who provides additional programming, mixed by Andrew Lee, and mastered by Dan Lowndes at Resonance Sound Studios. The record features interior Illustrations by M. Lin, photography/graphics by Arawn, layout by Arawn and Brandon Corsair, and Thomas Cole’s "The Course Of Empire: Desolation" as the main cover.

“I went into World Of Sorrows with a very specific intent,” Arawn delves. “Looking at it even five months after I finished songwriting, it surprises me just how precisely I achieved that goal. I wanted an album that was fast, brutal, and morbid, yet also introspective and highly melodious. That is exactly what I got. Everything flowed out of me and coalesced into the five tracks presented. Indeed, it is a majestic structure that conveys my miseries, my triumphs, and my passions with arrogant and excessive splendor.”

No Clean Singing writes in part within their stunning review of the album, “it both inspires a sense of wonder and also inflicts breathtaking levels of sonic obliteration. The music is morbid, mauling, and merciless, but also home to both emotionally evocative melodies and the kind of pyrotechnic guitar mastery that drops jaws.”

Listen to DUNGEON SERPENT’s entire World Of Sorrows LP early now only through No Clean Singing at THIS LOCATION.

Nameless Grave Records will release World Of Sorrows on CD and all digital platforms this Friday, July 16th. Find preorders at the label webshop HERE and Bandcamp HERE. A vinyl pressing will follow late in the year.

Spawned from the misty woodland gloom of British Columbia in 2018, DUNGEON SERPENT is the creation of one Arawn, who has taken his time in the creation and refining of the act’s debut album, now emerging with the stronghold World Of Sorrows. With five expansive, brutal, and archaic movements of melodic death metal carnage, the album fuses influence from brutal acts of the genre, citing Intestine Baalism, Molested, Vehemence, and Mi’gauss, with the dense layering of Rotting Christ and Eucharist. Once combined with the forsaken Canadian tradition of hyperblast, the outfit forms a sound that is at once blistering yet also introspective and mournful, a vortex of low, morbid tremolo riffs, maniac blastbeats, vehement guttural vocals, and powerful atmospheric melodies, converging to perfectly embody the somber mysticism and fantasy-oriented lyrics.

With this mix of ideas and sounds, DUNGEON SERPENT mastermind Arawn proves himself to be well beyond the stale revivalist trends and feeble-minded bland ignorance that plagues the modern metal underground. Channeling obscure and somewhat eclectic influences to create an exciting style of death metal, DUNGEON SERPENT explores new musical ideas while never abandoning the genre’s signature speed and brutality in the process.
