INFERNAL TORMENT – BIRTHRATE ZERO (Review by Varg The Mighty)

Today’s review is of Danish Death Metal band Infernal Torment’s second album, celebrating its LP reissue.

Although perhaps more technical and melodic than their debut, brutal may still very well be the most accurate adjective to define it. If you’re searching for barked vocals upon putrid riffs, look no further.

Even though it may not be too remarkable compared with other contemporary Scandinavian Death Metal releases, it still has some decent tracks. Perhaps best compared with American Brutal Death Metal, it also features the essence of Danish Death Metal and even distant traces of Carcass’ most Death Metal songs. My personal highlights are “The Razor Twist” and the title track.

I recommend this album to fans of Death Metal and Brutal Death Metal. My rating is of 7,5/10.

WILD FREEDOM: Sign With Wormholedeath & Announce "Polarize" Album

 

Spanish rock metallers WILD FREEDOM have signed a deal with Wormholedeath for their sophomore album "Polarize" which is due for release on 22 10 2021.

"Polarize" is an album full of great Hard-rock and Heavy Metal themes. Influences from both classic bands from the 80's , as well as contemporary bands such as Hardcore Superestar or Skull Fist , are sensed , but Skid Row is the main reference.

The band stated: "We're really excited about this new partnership with WormHoleDeath Records. We're so sure they are the right partner to make this new album reach lots of new listeners and for the band to take a big step forward to its international projection"

Biography

Wild Freedom are a metal band from Barcelona (Spain) currently composed with frontman and singer Ian Wilde, guitarist Adryen Rock, and bassist Dave Starblitz, the band started back in 2010 with Ian, Adryen and Chris Carrest (former drummer). Ten years in the making, the band have released a full studio album (Set the night on fire) and toured Spain, eastern Europe and Russia, published three more singles along the way with good reception from fans and critics alike. After the departure of Chris Carrest (drummer) and Jimmy Q (guitarist), the band set out to make their most ambitious work yet, exploring new sounds and ideas for their second album. With the new record already finished, Wild Freedom will soon present their new work as well as the new full line up. Brackish Tide - Hold On - (Heavy Metal)

Post Luctum released new single

  American Death/Doom Metal band Post Luctum released their new EP «Acceptance». The release was recorded in "Clawmaster Studios" and mixed/mastered by Daniel Weldon.

Post Luctum was formed in early 2019 at California, Maryland as a one-man project by Ian Goetchius who wanted to create a band with a combination of moody melodies and dark atmosphere, with lyrical themes and topics ranging from isolation and depression, to the paranormal and afterlife. In 2019 the band released their debut EP "After Mourning" which gained positive reviews.
