RANCOR - "Bury the World"
The veteran Spanish Thrash Metal band RANCOR have just signed (again) with Xtreem Music for the edition of their 4th album that will be titled "Bury the World", scheduled for June 14th on CD and Digital formats.
RANCOR was formed in Madrid (Spain) in 1998, recording two demos in '02 and an EP in '06, to later release their debut album "Release the Rancor" in 2010, an EP "Raining Bombs" in 2013 and two more albums "Dark Future" (2013 - Xtreem Music) and "Evilization" (2017). During the year 2021 and the beginning of 2022, RANCOR has been recording their 4th album "Bury the World", for which they have just returned to Xtreem Music and
from where they will continue to unleash their intense high-quality
Thrash Metal that will surely please lovers of bands like VIO-LENCE,
SLAYER, FORBIDDEN, EXODUS, ANTHRAX, OVERKILL...

SANDNESS - Play Your Part (ROCKSHOTS Records Release: 20 May 2022 )
SANDNESS' New Album "Play Your Part" Out May 2022
Italian classic 80’s hair metal inspired band SANDNESS will be releasing their fourth studio album entitled "Play The Part" this coming May 2022 via Rockshots Records. The album follows their two previous released records on Rockshots Records, 2020 EP "Enter Please (2020) and 2019 LP "Untamed".The new album is produced, mixed and mastered by Michele Guaitoli and features twelve original tracks including a bonus cover version of KISS' "Turn On The Night". The lyrics written for the full length give an insight to how the band kept themselves busy and entertained during the first lockdown in the spring of 2020.
The band comments:
"“Play Your Part” is a different kind of animal from our previous releases, due to the lockdown, we had more time to think and work on the songs. We also worked a lot more with our producer Michele, who helped us bring our music to the next level. The new album is more mature and inspired by different styles: hard rock, classic rock, heavy metal, 70’s rock n’ roll, but also pop music from different decades. Overall, we want people to feel good when they listen to our songs. We feel our music brings you to a dimension where everything is solvable with some dance moves or some headbanging. Give you the bright side of things to escape the difficult times."
First Single off the full length. Entitled "High Tide", the record's opening track is heavily influenced by the rock gods of the 70’s. Producer Michele Guaitoli came up with the idea to add rock piano on the track, which gives it an Elton John influence.

Second Single
No Filter", it is another 70’s-inspired song, but with a message about today's present.
"This track was written to remind us all of how fake we all are when it comes to social media. Have you ever taken more than 30 selfies just to delete them all because none of them is good enough, not even after all the editing? This song is for you!" adds the band.

DENFIRE – RIDING THE WINDS OF DEATH ( Review by Varg The Mighty )
Today’s review is of Brazilian one-man Thrash Metal project Denfire’s debut EP.
These 3 tracks offer a glimpse to the great potential of this new project. Combining a classic strain of powerful and old-school Thrash with some elements of Speed Metal and even Crossover at times, Denfire delivers here a solid piece of Metal that sounds fresh and that may appeal to any headbanger who enjoys fast-paced and traditional Thrash Metal.
There are also some slower paced sections with space for melody which don’t interfere at all with the general aura. Perhaps the most notable aspect of this EP is the talented rhythmic technique in the guitars, which offer a marvellous foundation for the rest of the music.
I recommend this release to fans of Thrash Metal and Speed Metal. My rating is of 8,5/10.

At the end of 2021, the Danish heavy rock band TIMECHILD
released their debut album "And Yet It Moves", and received top reviews
and big praise from all over the world. Now the band is back with their
new single "Son & Daughter", where they have dug deep into their
inspirations of the past and have reinterpreted this underrated and
slightly atypical treasure from Queens first album from 1973.
It is a song that fits perfectly with Timechild's sound universe with a powerful and soaring lead vocal and characteristic twin guitars and vocal harmonies. With this new song in their repertoire, the band is ready for this summer's concerts!

Timechild is massive and organic heavy rock from Copenhagen, Denmark. The band's soundscape is made up of a powerful and present lead vocal, characteristic twin guitars and atmospheric vocal harmonies, which together create their unique Scandinavian expression.
Timechild was formed in 2020 by four seasoned musicians from different corners of Denmark. With extensive past experience in a number of former and existing Danish rock and metal bands, the members had already crossed paths on both Danish and international stages. When the opportunity arose, they decided to unite their musical experiences and visions and created Timechild.
The debut album was written and recorded during the worldwide Covid-19 pandemic, which paralysed the Danish and international music industry. However, this silence gave the band time to jointly develop their common sound and expression. The vision from the start was to show how heavy rock can continue to challenge and surprise audiences even in 2021. Although the foundation of the band's sound universe is clearly laid by the rock giants of the past, Timechild's inspiration is drawn from across both time and genres. The opportunity to dive into the music history of past decades, and through this define one's own sound, is one of the greatest privileges that today's musicians have at their disposal. We can learn from the past without being backward-looking or unoriginal and we can be relevant and innovative without having to define a new genre.
This same mindset also applies to Timechild's lyrics. The title of the debut album "And Yet It Moves" is, according to legend, the last phrase uttered by physicist and philosopher Galileo Galilei after the Vatican forced him to recant his scientific belief, that the Earth moves around the sun and not the other way around. It is precisely this human search for the purpose of our own existence and the struggle to elevate ourselves above the laws of nature, that are recurring themes in the album's textual universe.
The record was produced, mixed and mastered by Soren Andersen (Glenn Hughes, Jesper Binzer, Thundermother, Marco Mendoza, Artillery). With his vast experience in the genre, both as a producer and musician, Soren was a natural choice when the band's songs were to be immortalised. The result is nine songs that show the band's broad dynamic range. From quiet, dark and melodic passages to over-marching twin guitars and energetic heavy rock.

Battering Ram comes from a small Swedish mining town - Filipstad. A place you never heard of, a place you’ve never been to and a place you most likely will never visit. Up there north, in the Scandinavian woods, man is still man, life is still easy, and souls are still free. Up there music still rock. Hard. Hard as a rock.
This heavy-weight quartet founded in 2017 in the deepest forests of Sweden quickly arouse great interest among rock fans home in Scandinavia, as well as on the international ground. Rockers all over the world have realized that there are some heavy pieces of steel casted among gnomes and trolls in the Nordic fairy tale woodlands.
Hard as a rock and harder than hard rock. Heavy as lead but nor just metal. Still, at the end what Battering Ram plays is a plain straightforward rock n’ roll with a lot of weight, power and attitude.
With their first full length release, Battering Ram unabashed smashed in the doors to the rock scene.
