PANYCHIDA – RÍRUREC: DREISESSEL (REVIEW BY VARG THE MIGHTY )

 

Today’s review is of Czech Pagan Metal band Panychida’s new EP.

This release offers some passionate Pagan Metal with an old-school approach that reminds of Pocculus, though it also incorporates some more standard Black Metal ideas that bring to mind bands such as Aetherius Obscuritas.

The songs being sung in Czech also gives these songs an extra flair for those of us who don’t understand the language, and it helps you feel how their folk tales are amplified into dark and violent Metal for our delight. Some songs are more intense than others, but it generally leaves you wanting more (luckily their discography is already big). My personal highlights are “Pustina” and “Dolorosa”.

I recommend this album to fans of Black Metal and Pagan Metal. My rating is of 8/10.

BLOODY FALLS – DYING IS EASY Review by Varg The Mighty)

 

Today’s review is of Finnish Melodic Death Metal band Bloody Falls’ upcoming new EP, out on January 27^th.

This release consists of 5 unrelenting tracks of heaviness. Mixing a Melodic Death Metal base with serious grooves and filthy breakdowns that would even be fine in a Brutal Death Metal album, these songs are ideal if you want to bang your head to some modern and low tuned Extreme Metal.

Their combination of exalting melodies with crushing riffs and broken vocals that could even fit in a Black Metal release is certainly interesting, and the catchiness factor is not omitted. My personal highlights are the title track and “The Reaper Is My Neighbour”.

I recommend this EP to fans of Melodic Death Metal and Groove Metal. My rating is of 8/10.

La esencia de Rory Gallagher visita nuestro país en una gira irrepetible. Gerry Mc Avoy Brendam O´Neill Paul Rose Jim Kirkpatrick Allá por 1970, Gerry McAvoy y Rory Gallagher se unieron y forjaron una asociación muy exitosa que duró más de dos décadas. Los resultados son testimonio de uno de los guitarristas más queridos de todos los tiempos. Gerry estuvo con Rory todo el camino. Debido a la increíble demanda del público, Gerry armó ' Band of Friends' para volver a interpretar todas las canciones clásicas que disfrutó junto a Rory Gallagher. Esta gira te dará la oportunidad de revisar el gran catálogo de canciones que todos conocemos y amamos.   Gerry McAvoy (Bajo) tocó, grabó y estuvo de gira con Rory durante 20 años, desde 1970 hasta 1991. Gerry tocó en todos los álbumes que Rory hizo. Su libro de 2005, 'Riding Shotgun' sigue su carrera y su vida con Rory. Gerry también tocó con Deep Joy, Champion Jack Dupree y Nine Below Zero. Brendan O'Neill (batería) Brendan y Gerry crecieron juntos en Belfast. Asistieron a la misma escuela primaria y secundaria. Formaron su primera banda juntos en la escuela en 1967. La banda era Pride.  Siguieron tocando juntos durante algunos años, hasta que Gerry recibió la llamada para unirse a Rory. En 1981, cuando Rory buscaba un nuevo baterista, Brendan subió al podio. Luego tocó con Rory y Gerry durante otros 10 años, después tocó con Nine Below Zero durante más de 20 años. Brendan ahora toca en la mayoría de los conciertos con Band of Friends. Paul Rose (Guitarra) un gran guitarrista. Ha tocado con algunos de los nombres más importantes de la música. Fue elegido por Rory entre 1000 jóvenes guitarristas para ganar la competición de mejor guitarrista patrocinada por Fender. Jim Kirkpatrick (Guitarra/Voz)  creció escuchando la música de Rory. Get ready for an apocalyptic journey! March 3, 2023 will see Swedish melodic power/heavy metal act KARDINAL SIN release their forthcoming studio album, entitled "S.A.L.I.G.I.A", via Massacre Records.

Offering more complex songs as well as darker lyrics about the world situation now and then, and how we push humanity towards the apocalypse through war and environmental destruction – compared to the band's debut – "S.A.L.I.G.I.A", promises to feature more elaborate songs and arrangements, and is a musical journey through history from the Middle Ages to present.

Now, the band has shared a music video for their first single, "Siege Of Jerusalem", featuring Ellinor "Hellinor" Asp on guest vocals! Watch the new clip here:

"This song is about the siege of Jerusalem in the year 1099 and how King Salahadin's legions gathered outside the walls of Jerusalem and the anxiety of the Knights Templar holding the city. It's a mid-tempo song with an Arabic kinda sound to it. KARDINAL SIN are very proud to have the amazing voice of Ellinor "Hellinor" Asp as a partner in crime to Daniel Wikerman, who gives the song that extra edge! "

 

"S.A.L.I.G.I.A" was mixed by Fredrik Folkare at Chrome Studios, and was mastered by Lawrence Mackrory (Obey Mastering). Slated to be released as CD Digipak, Ltd. Vinyl LP and Digital formats on March 3, 2023, the album pre-sale is now available at THIS LOCATION!
