Today’s review is of American Heavy Metal band Veritas’ debut album, “Threads Of Fatality”.
This album spans from very classic Heavy Metal to modern and pretty progressive depending on the songs. Mostly, it sounds like modern-Saxon, especially on “Love And Burn”, but other songs bring some experimentation mixed with very American structures and sweet sweep picking solos, like on “Eyes Of The Blind” or “It’s Over” that definitely bring variety without eroding the overall quality too much.
With classic riffs combined with newer concepts and an average voice that is perfectly capable of reaching high notes, the band has a promising career. They are quite better than most bands, but they aren’t the best at the moment, and hopefully they’ll have a bright future in the underground.
I recommend this album to fans of American Heavy Metal and NWOBHM. My rating is of 8,5/10.
