ICED EARTH and DEMONS & WIZARDS disappear from Century Media website

Heavy Metal bands ICED EARTH and DEMONS & WIZARDS have disappeared from the Century Media Records artist list. As you know, guitarist Jon Schaffer is a member of both groups, arrested for his participation in the assault on the United States Capitol.

However, Century Media has not issued any statement on these events. You can consult the list of artists of the German label -which belongs to Sony Music- in this link and check that none of the groups are listed. The bands' records cannot be found in the record company, CMdistro, either.

We remind you that the musicians who accompany Jon Schaffer in ICED EARTH distanced themselves from the actions of the leader of the band. Singer Stu Block, bassist Luke Appleton, drummer Brent Smedley and guitarist Jake Dreyer released a statement. "We do not support riots or violent acts," the artists said.

Also, Hansi Kürsch, Schaffer's partner in DEMONS & WIZARDS, posted a message through his main band, BLIND GUARDIAN, distancing himself from the assault on the Capitol and any violent act.

Jon Schaffer faces six federal charges for the riots.

We remind you of the statement from the remaining members of the US formation:

"We want to thank those of you who have sent words of support in the last few days. Some of you have worried about our silence, which we understand. We needed some time to properly process the information and find out some facts before making a statement.

First of all, we DO NOT tolerate or support the riots or acts of violence in which the rioters were involved on January 6 in the United States Capitol building. We hope that everyone involved that day will be brought to justice for investigation and held accountable for their actions.

With a broken heart we send our love and compassion to all who have been in pain over the events of January 6. We are deeply saddened and our hearts go out to the families of the lives lost that day. There really are no adequate words to comfort. We want you to know that we are with you in your shock, grief and pain. Much love to all of you.

Stu, Luke, Jake, Brent. "
