Bay Area’s ASTHAROTH releases a single heralding a new EP.

ASTHAROTH started in 1988 in Poland as a technical thrash band. They moved to Bay Area in 1990 only to see the scene deteriorating there. Fast forward to 2020: ASTHAROTH is back as a one-man project with the music darker and more progressive than  before.

2021: “Behind the Mask of Virtue” is a single from the upcoming EP "Between Death and Rebirth",  due later this year.

All the tracks from the upcoming EP have been written and recorded in the Winter of 2020/2021 and are brand new.

Musically the new material is upbeat and aggressive, while lyrically dealing with the existential issues.

“Behind the Mask of Virtue” in particular talks about people that use religion as a shield in order to harm others and impose their way of life.

The single will be streamed via all digital outlets on Friday, 19th of February.

Pennsylvanian heavymetallers MOBCHILD are back with „The Dark Chronicles”

Mobchild was formed in the fall of 1993 after the founder Mike Kearns released his solo project “In Calm Before The Storm…”. Fall of 1993 the band was approached to record a song for an European compilation “NEMC:1”. The band started to record “Ships at Sea” for the compilation when bassist George Allen left the group. The band recruited Trent Reznor's cousin Dave Brown to record the bass track and join the band.

1997 the band was signed for a full release “Gothic Opera” by the label Azra International. The band fell apart though after the guitarist was forced to move to Ohio.

Mobchild reunited in 2017 and now their 6-song EP, “The Dark Chronicles” is out on CD! Consisting of newly written songs, it’s a piece of strong heavy metal with charismatic vocals.

German death/thrashers DARK ZODIAK unleash “Ophiuchus”

Dark Zodiak stands for thrilling live shows, crushing sound, direct interaction with the crowd and a perfect fusion of thrash and death metal, forged from whipping riffs, tons of drums and thunderous female growls.

Dark Zodiak came to life in 2011, rocked all over Germany and Europe, and shared the stage with names like Tankard, Debauchery, Eluveitie, Stillbirth, Pripjat….

In 2013, the first EP „Throwing Stones“ was released, followed by the first CD „See You in Hell“ in 2015. In 2017 they published „Landscapes of Our Soul“.

2020, the band mortar is glowing again and it's being punched and grinded on new death lead grenades, with the intent to ignite a new, clenched explosive charge in 2021 „Ophiuchus“ and to get extreme-metal-head-hairstyles to rotate.
