Today’s review is of Swedish Melodic Hard Rock band Constancia’s upcoming new album, out on June 18th.
This album is a real throwback to the 80s, with synth-loaded, love-struck tracks of pure Rock & Roll delivered by a band stronger than ever with their new singer. Their sweet music with a commercial appeal for another decade really brings to mind Bon Jovi, Dokken or Europe (of who they cover here “Open Your Heart”).
Although the album is long, each of these 11 songs are really well crafted, include a talented performance and are great by themselves. This release may also be appealing to fans of Heavy Metal, for some of the parts are actually heavier too. My personal highlights are “Forget Me Not”, “The Key” and “Titanium”.
I recommend this album to fans of 80s Hard Rock and Heavy Metal. My rating is of 9/10.
