SAEKO – HOLY ARE WE ALONE ( Review by Varg The Mighty )

Today’s review is of International Heavy Metal band Saeko’s comeback album, out on August 20th.

Returning with a new and absolutely powerful line-up consisting of well-known musicians, Saeko delivers once again some decent Heavy Metal that leans very heavily towards Power Metal and includes some interesting touches of Japanese folk every now and then besides some great neoclassical influences.

Thanks to a wide vocal reach, she produces here some rough Heavy Metal with Power Metal radiance and almost operatic highs accompany the talented musicianship. Epic passages accompanied by Loudness-like Metal don’t lack in this release. While some tracks may bore your average metalhead and others may even feel somewhat mediocre, this is compensated by hits like “Music My Love” and “Splinters Of The Sun”.

I recommend this album to fans of Heavy Metal and Power Metal. My rating is of 8/10.
