LOWER 13 – EMBRACE THE UNKNOWN ( Review by Varg The Mighty )

Today’s review is of American Heavy Metal band Lower 13’s upcoming new album, out on August 27th.

This album catches the essence of American commercially-appealing Metal and wraps it up in a modern atmosphere to give it a personal touch. While in some instances it seems like Five Finger Death Punch, there are also lighter parts that suddenly burst in a radiance similar to Avenged Sevenfold, or sometimes an easy-going and sort of atmospheric bit evolves into an aggressive Groove Metal riff and even beyond that some guttural voices take over.

While the mix may seem chaotic, it follows steadily the US Metal formula, sometimes making it too predictable too. Nonetheless, if you feel like checking out another modern metal act with commercial capabilities that may serve as introduction to heavier subgenres for the newcomers, you should check this album out.

I recommend this album to fans of US Metal. My rating is of 7/10.
