NUNSLAUGHTER – RED IS THE COLOR OF RIPPING DEATH ( Review by Varg The Mighty )

Today’s review is of American Death Metal band Nunslaughter’s upcoming new album, out on August 27th.

They seem to have perfected even more their brand of sheer brutality on this new release, adding some hints of Nasum or General Surgery every now and then all wrapped up in a clearly American sound. You may also be reminded of Cadaver’s new album on certain tracks.

Unlike other no-bullshit Death Metal and Deathgrind bands, on some tracks they also allow some slow passages to add a tone of darkness to their assault, while never forgetting to include some powerful riffs to mosh at. Songs like the title track or “Broken And Alone” will surely be a fine addition to their live sets. With almost all the songs being of less than 2 minutes and no fillers, this straightforward full-length is definitely one of the best Death Metal albums of the year.

I recommend this album to fans of Death Metal and Deathgrind. My rating is of 9,5/10.
