REBELLIX – SERPENT’S KISS (Review by Varg The Mighty )

Today’s review is of Finnish Thrash Metal band Rebellix’s upcoming new EP, out on October 15th.

These 4 tracks display fun and slightly melodic Thrash with clear touches of modern Finnish Heavy Metal (especially in the overall feeling transmitted, despite the clear extra heaviness). If you enjoy upbeat Finnish Metal in the likes of Children Of Bodom transformed into Thrash then this is exactly what you’re looking for.

From the empowering title track to the Alestorm or Steel Panther level comedy on “Fuck You” to the purer Thrash on “Play The Game” to the epic final track, “Hail To The Sky”, this EP is very diverse, even though the band’s essence is always clear. Given their additional hints of Punk and Power Metal, the release is remarkably unique and interesting.

I recommend this album to fans of modern Thrash Metal and Heavy Metal. My rating is of 8,5/10.
