CRUZEIRO – CRUZEIRO (Review by Varg The Mighty )

Today’s review is of Galician Stoner Metal band Cruzeiro’s debut album.

Consisting of 4 long tracks of psychedelia, this is a solid release that captures well all of the elements of the style. With a sweet 70s sound combined with your modern mammoth riffs, the full-length will slowly take you to fly over plains of colourful craziness.

The band seem to sacrifice some fuzz to achieve a lighter and groovier sound, but smoke stills seems to come out of the speakers when playing the release thanks to the steadily crushing melodies that still have a lot of that cherished doomy distortion. Once you play this release, those sweetly hypnotic female vocals in the likes of Acid’s Trip will guide you through their sonic fog to the riff-filled land.

I recommend this album to fans of Stoner Metal, Doom Metal and Psychedelic Rock. My rating is of 8,5/10.
