PARADOXICIDE – SAVIOR (Review by Varg The Mighty)

Today’s review is of American Thrash Metal band Paradoxicide’s debut album.

This release delivers a raw, fresh and old-school kind of wrath which reminds in part of the earliest Death Metal albums slightly slowed down into a groovier terrain, perhaps in the likes of certain early Death tracks. If you want to bang your head to some heavy fury performed in a clear American way leaving space for the grooves and extremer aspects to merge with classic Thrash into a gloomier form of anger, then you shall enjoy this release.

While there isn’t any clear bit of innovation, the band does have a slight bit of personality that may be further developed in future releases, performing a slow and hard-hitting version of the Thrash formula. While no song really reaches your expected speed for the genre, the aura is certainly reproduced in their own way. My personal highlights are “Art Of Artifice” and “Consumed By Hate”.

I recommend this album to fans of Thrash Metal, Thrash Death Metal and Groove Metal. My rating is of 8,5/10.
