Spin The Wheel.... Of Shame !!!! (Review by Javier Barba Vallejo)

Just about to be one year after the publication I made on February 6, 2021 both on my wall and on the Bathory Zine, the matter of the maxisingle of the song "Spin The Wheel" has surprisingly moved again and I have left it settled in the most dignified way possible, as a collector and not as a gambling puppet, which was what the fans intended to do with him.

On this occasion they get together to make the song "Spin The Wheel" as the main theme of side A of the maxisingle with Biff Byford from Saxon on vocals and also co-writing the song with Nibbs Carter, bassist also from Saxon. And as musicians Eric Pettersen from Testament , Jay Jay French from Twisted Sister , Cecilia Nappo from Black Mamba on bass and Hannes Van Dahl from Sabbaton on drums.
These recorded the tracks of the Spin The Wheel theme separately in times of pandemic from their home studios.

Later, a song by Demon and another by Black Mamba were added on the B side and the promotional video clip of the song "Spin The Wheel" was released on the main digital platforms and the maxisingle in its only vinyl format, it could ONLY be obtained by registering on the Metalreels website, entering a minimum of €35 spent on gambling, thus giving a telematic notice for the shipment of the maxisingle to the player's home.
Well, in memory of a great friend who committed suicide due to gambling addiction, I put appear and I'm still at it, how low and creeping people can be because of the existence of this kind of On Line gaming companies, which create pathological gambling (in times of pandemic, youth gambling skyrocketed, but they cover up that news) and that artists, athletes or any public figure agrees to collaborate with them for the fucking money, trampling on any hint of ethics and morals they may have, is despicable.

He screwed me up and he continues to screw me up a lot that idols from my two favorite bands Saxon and Testament will lend themselves to such a shameful collaboration, lucky that none of the Ktulu is out there, after the hell I took with Byford, Carter and Pettersen.
Some time ago I was with my stepchildren in the dining room, watching on TV a live show that they had put on with their mobile, of an interview by the Youtuber Ibai Llanos with a young rapper of about 20 or 22 years old who said, that in his growing popularity in Rap environment, a bank suggested him to make a tv commercial with him rapping and this until then was the time that he had been offered more money for his music, for his passion... but it was not his moral principles to overturn his passion in working for banks that trample people so much, the rapper told Ibai that he consulted with his father and he told him to follow what his conscience dictated and so the boy did, rejecting the bank's offer.

Some month before Christmas we all saw that ad so crap I don't remember if it was from Bankia or Bakinter from a handsome man singing a song that mixed Rap and light ballad. And it is that some smartass has already come out to fill the offer that was rejected by the young rapper who truly believes in his passion.
But damn that a kid who is starting out in music has more principles than great musicians with a great career and with great successes in their careers has balls.... and they have no excuse no matter where you look at it.
I never thought of buying it through the official casino method, what's more, I called for a boycott of this method of obtaining it, but as a collector I always look for it to go on sale second-hand or in some worthy offer and in the end it came out. ...
A year after its recording, looking for this album on the internet, I found it brand new through "Mercado Libre" in a record store on the island of Malta that only put one for sale in the whole world and when they sell it they play it again another one for sale , I don't know how the hell a record store on a small island of barely 300 square km between Sicily, Tunisia and Libya exclusively has these records for sale, walking past any store in European countries or the American continent but it's a hit !!!!
The fact is that for me it has been an achievement and satisfaction to get the record as it should be , in a record store .

Already put, I would have preferred to have found it physically in the store of some freelancer, because you always have to support local businesses and not online, but I am already very satisfied to have achieved it so decently for how infamous the conception of this album is.
Happy to have gotten this maxisingle, but very sad that it exists and for what it was recorded.
