MORFER – ( Review by Varg The Mighty )

Today’s review is of Kyrgyzstani Black Metal band Morfer’s debut album.

This release incorporates some modern elements while still keeping a strongly classic base, and as a result the songs are dark, powerful and fresh. At times it may remind of modern Immortal, but the influences are fuzzy, though they mostly seem to consist of Norwegian Black Metal. Some songs are shorter and more straightforward, but others have an epic aura and a longer length that create a sublime atmosphere.

This album has the sufficient amount of aggression, melody, darkness and personality, so fans of many different kinds of Black Metal may enjoy it. My personal highlights are “Forbannet” and “Through The Forest”.

I recommend this album to fans of Black Metal. My rating is of 9/10.
