Josh Littlelight of Grim Lumina

Spawned in 2014 as a one-person death-grind project by William Bigcrow (DETHGOD, ex-Interitum), Narcissistic Necrosis has eventually evolved as a full-fledge quintet. As of February 2020,   the Calgary-based ensemble now features four members: William Bigcrow on guitars and vocals, Jaden McLean on guitars, Mike Jones on Bass, and Jayden Walker on Drums. Delivering a hammering, metallic sounding guitars, grinding low-end bass, and sonic drum blasts, Narcissistic Necrosis aims to make a lasting impression.

Prior to the project evolving into a full line up, the architect William Bigcrow finished writing and recording all the songs for the upcoming debut album, The Art of Deformity. Conjuring an asphyxiating and ear-splitting presence, the band explores topics such as religious hypocrisy, narcissism, self-improvement, self-destruction, superstitious beliefs, and misanthropy throughout the record.

LEECHES – A PLAGUE IN THE HEART OF LIGHT (Review by Varg The Mighty )

Greek Black Metal band Leeches have released their debut demo “A Plague in the Heart of Light”, and today it shall be reviewed.
Even though there have been some demos like this in their country back in the 90’s, it doesn’t sound at all as Greek Black Metal, but more like the most northern Unholy Black Metal.
With a very low quality, great voice, ride much higher than the rest of the drums, perpetual tremolo picking and everything (especially the keyboards in “Passage to Extinction”) really saturated, this demo has all the characteristics that make it Unholy. It even sounds as if it was recorded in the 90’s and not now.
A subgenre belonging to the beginning of Black Metal and only that specific time seems to have revived with the help of bands like these and the previously reviewed Black Beast. If you like your Black Metal with extremely low quality and simple yet dark riffs, you’ll greatly enjoy this.

Formed in January 2012, To The Pain is an original metal band that hails from Franklin Square, New York. The bands sound consists of the dual guitar attack  provided by Steve Shaver and Sean Smith,  along with the driving rhythm section consisting of John Filakovsky on bass and Eric Healy on drums. Lead Vocalist John Intagliata's powerful and high pitched vocal range round out this 5 piece. To The Pain's self titled debut record was released in June 2013. Their follow up album, “7”, was released in June 2015. To The Pain is currently in the studio laying down tracks for our 3rd album, “X”, schedule for June 23rd 2020 release. “X” takes TTP’s core sound, adds more guitar harmonies, more progressive rhythms, and just a more over the top version of the band.
