Salt Lake City’s Arsenic Addiction’s released a fourth album, “XIX” in September 2019 and now have a creative and breathtaking video to complement the track “Fire”.  Clad in red against the barren stretches of the salt flats, Arsenic Addiction pulls out all the stops in this captivating video. They explain the track in their own words:

“We chose to write Fire in its beautiful and ultimately destructive form. The song itself is meant to embody the fiery emotions of passion, love, pain, war, revenge, survival, religious trauma. It is the pact all witches make with the devil, it is freedom. Burning bridges and staying to watch every ember burn into nothingness.”

The promotion of “XIX” was unfortunately stunted by having to quarantine and live shows being put on hiatus, however, fans can still enjoy going on a journey through another’s love, sadness, anger, and pain. It’s laid out to feel as though you have walked in on the solitary practice of a witch, her life, her experiences, her secrets, her black rites.

“XIX” is the story of an outsider, those who dare to be different, strange, or unusual and are made out to be monsters, demons, or witches because of it. It’s the journey of the human soul from a feminine perspective experiencing love, hate, finding inner power, and making deals with the devil to conquer those who would stand in the way of that power.

Although the music of Arsenic Addiction has evolved in style over the years, the reason has always been the same: to create art, connect with others, and express emotions/complex issues about love, death, and the world that are difficult to convey with mere words.

A wide range of emotions is packed into Arsenic Addiction’s music, which blends gothic, melodic, and death elements. It is well suited for fans of Cradle of Filth, Behemoth, and In This Moment.

ASTRAY VALLEY release their new single "Firehearts"

The metal band Astray Valley release their new single “Firehearts”, a darker and more aggressive theme that represents the mysticism of this new era and where the use of Spanish in the band's lyrics is included for the first time.

Recorded at "The Metal Factory Studios" (Madrid) by Álex Cappa and produced by Álex himself and Joan Vena (the band's guitarist), it has the collaboration of Víctor Ortega for the composition of the backtracks that give more atmospheric nuances to the composition.

To work on the visual concept of the single, they have the well-known Nat Enemede to take the promotional photographs of this new line-up, which includes the bassist Álex Albano. Also, she is the author of the cover of this new single.
For its premiere, they launch the video clip directed by David Romeu through his production company "Winner Horse Productions" and that will be available through social networks, and the band's YouTube and Spotify profiles, starting this Friday, November 20.

*** DIAMOND HEAD UNLEASH COVER OF METALLICA'S 'NO REMORSE' ***

UNLEASH FORMIDABLE COVER OF
METALLICA’S ‘NO REMORSE’

LIGHTNING TO THE NATIONS 2020

NEARS RELEASE

Watch/Listen to ‘No Remorse’ here

Pre-orders available here

When Diamond Head first released Lightning To The Nations 40 years ago in 1980, few could have predicted the importance it would carry with regards to heavy metal’s new wave and sound.  Stacked and packed with riffs, Lightning To The Nations would be one of the prime catalysts for a movement known as the New Wave of British Heavy Metal (NWOBHM).

Re-imagined, re-recorded and re-born in 2020, Diamond Head’s forthcoming 40-year celebration of their genre-defining debut album is a scintillating shot of fresh metal energy.  With Lightning To The Nations 2020 nearing release, listeners will soon experience not only the rare phenomenon of crisp, fresh and new sounding songs with very little of the obvious original elements altered, they will also be treated to four supreme cover versions… And in prime position stands Metallica’s ‘No Remorse’.

With Diamond Head having featured so heavily in Metallica’s early career, the cover of ‘No Remorse’ seems especially appropriate.  Accompanying the release of this monumental track, Diamond Head also unveil their thought-provoking animated video, created and directed by Costin Chioreanu

“I wanted to cover a song from Metallica’s debut album, Kill ‘Em All explains founding member Brian Tatler. “Partly because Metallica covered songs from Diamond Head’s debut album Lightning To The Nations and it felt like things have come full-circle to me.  None of the band members knew how to play any of the songs from Kill ‘Em All and I eventually decided we should all learn ‘No Remorse’.  Then when we got into the rehearsal room, we played ‘No Remorse’ and immediately it just sounded great, it was very “Diamond Head” and it really suited us as a band.  Of the four covers we ended up doing, ‘No Remorse’ sounded the best straight away.  I’ve seen Metallica live over twenty times and they don’t play ‘No Remorse’ very often, but it’s always great when they do!”

“Of all the four covers, we almost didn’t have to work on ‘No Remorse’,” furthers singer and producer Rasmus Bom Andersen; “we all had to learn the parts, and it’s very difficult to play, but in rehearsal it did sound fantastic and we thought: “yeah, yeah, it’s gonna be mega”. It was almost surreal when we did it because it just felt incredibly familiar.”

Watch/Listen to ‘No Remorse here; watch/listen to the recently released ‘Am I Evil?’ and ‘It’s Electric at this location

Recorded over several sessions between various locations, from France to band members’ home studios, Lightning To The Nations 2020 central hub was Andersen’s Raw Sound Studios in London.  It’s where Brian and Abbz did the guitars in February and March of this year, and then with the COVID-19 chaos striking, Andersen worked on the album between April and July, with Tatler’s watchful ear inspecting final mixes and tweaks in early August before sending off to mastering at Metropolis Studios in London.

This edition of the album sees Diamond Head spreading their wings and creating the heaviest of homages also to Led Zeppelin, Judas Priest and Deep Purple Lightning To The Nations 2020 will be released on November 27th 2020, via Silver Lining Music.  Available in multiple formats, special D2C bundles, including a limited edition autographed ‘No Remorse’ poster.  For pre-orders, go to THIS LOCATION.
