BEYOND MAN set release date for long-awaited THE SINISTER FLAME debut album

On June the 21st internationally, The Sinister Flame is proud to present the self-titled debut album from Beyond Man on CD and vinyl LP formats. On the brightest day of the year, we bring you darkness!

Indeed, good things come to those who wait, but the best things are announced by a sulfurous stench, as in diabolic apparitions. Dormant for over a decade, Beyond Man has been awakened like an ancient curse from an old and sandy burial ground. In an epoch of records in which resounds the dull embellished atmosphere of a cozy bedroom, Beyond Man's self-titled album smells of old amplifiers drenched in rotten blood, ash and whisky, the reek of a cave I dare you to enter, where the frustrations of a group of Satanic cowboys take sonic form together with their zealot visions and nightmares, veiled by a truly ferocious and sinister aura.

Call it black metal if you wish, or envision Morbid Angel sitting down with Black Sabbath and listening to Norwegian black metal while sharing a bottle of red wine followed by straight shots of heavy smoked whisky. Nidrosian Black Metal at its very finest, straight from the source!

First track premiere to be revealed shortly. Cover and tracklisting are as follows:

Florida's GNOSIS set release date for NUCLEAR WAR NOW! album - streaming in full now Recibidos

Today, Nuclear War Now! Productions announces August 1st as the international release date for the highly anticipated third album from Florida's Gnosis, Omens From the Dead Realm, on vinyl LP and cassette tape formats.

From the Greek word for “knowledge,” Gnosis is adept at translating Greek sonic arcana into their own distinct language. Straddling the line between black and death metal, Gnosis treads this bottomless sea with an aplomb matched by few others. Blunt brutality is complemented by breathtaking melancholia with tasteful nods to archetypes found throughout the history of heavy metal music. Album highlights such as “Apzu, Sea of Death” can confidently stand in conversation with elder Greek progenitors Varathron and Rotting Christ while still maintaining their own distinct thesis.

This is the sound of aquatic Babylonian chaos, albeit through the lens of the ancient depth-dwelling elders of Lovecraft’s abyss. Omens From the Dead Realm is the second Gnosis release in partnership with NWN! Productions.

In the meantime, stream Omens From the Dead Realm in its entirety HERE at Nuclear War Now!'s Bandcamp. Cover artwork, courtesy of Vika // Imago Mortis, and tracklisting are as follows:

Watch No God music video: https://youtu.be/sIfBxCzG7xU

The band comments:
"The third single from Cuts & Scars, No God, serves up proper rattling, rhythmic rock'n'roll. This is the most aggressive song of the album. You will want to listen to this to-the-point bulldozer of a song again and again. The heavy riffs, catchy chorus and a striking guitar solo definitely make No God one of the stars of Cuts & Scars. The lyrics paint a dark version of what will wait for us all when our life ends on earth"

Belgium's GATEWAY stream CHAOS RECORDS comeback EP at GrizzlyButts.com

Today, reanimated Belgian death-doom cult Gateway stream the entirety of their highly anticipated comeback EP, Flesh Reborn, at heavily trafficked web-portal GrizzlyButts.com. Set for international release on May 7th via Chaos Records, hear Gateway's Flesh Reborn in its entirety exclusively HERE.

Based in Bruges, Gateway formed in 2014 and soon began their ascent through the underground as one of the murkiest and most mysterious death-doom bands around. After a stage-setting demo, Gateway released their self-titled debut album in 2015, which established mainman R as an individual with a decidedly twisted vision: Gateway didn't so much crush like most death-doom records did, but rather enwrapped the listener in a cocoon of mildew and moss.

A few digital singles followed thereafter, before the release of Gateway's second album, Scriptures of Grief, which further fleshed out the band's torturous-yet-alluring sound. In 2018, Gateway released the acclaimed EP Boundless Torture before going on indefinite hiatus. A tragedy, that, as Gateway's name had firmly and formidably entrenched itself in the underground...

Now, at long last, Gateway rises from the slumber of the crypt with the aptly titled Flesh Reborn. Featuring four songs across 26 minutes, Flesh Reborn reanimates Gateway in a most dramatic fashion. This is R's most ambitious effort - the songwriting winds and wends through labyrinths that are more uptempo than previous, with this uptick in speed also revealing a hitherto-unexplored catchiness, all before plunging to the abyss with the slo-mo destruction of the closing title track - resulting in a more focused sound and featuring deadly guest leads by M, a first for the band. Oozing atmospheric death-doom RIFF-worship for fans of Disembowelment, Coffins, Winter, Thorr's Hammer, and Rippikoulu, Gateway can now stand tall in the hall of the ancients with Flesh Reborn!

In the leadup to its international release this Friday, stream the entirety of Flesh Reborn exclusively HERE, courtesy of GrizzlyButts.com. Preorder info can be found HERE at Chaos Records' Bandcamp. Cover and tracklisting are as follows:

GRIDFAILURE Featuring MAC GOLLEHON: Cvlt Nation Debuts “Transient Fault” Video; Hostile Jazz Collaboration Dismemberment Cabaret Nears May Release Via Nefarious Industries

Watch GRIDFAILURE featuring MAC GOLLEHON’s “Transient Fault” video HERE.

Dismemberment Cabaret – the harsh/jazz collaborative album between New York harsh/experimental soloist GRIDFAILURE and world-renowned trumpet player MAC GOLLEHON – will see release through Nefarious Industries in just over two weeks. As the intense experiment is prepared for public dispatch, a video for new single “Transient Fault” sees its premiere through Cvlt Nation.

The uneasy combination presented on Dismemberment Cabaret acts as a suite, merging jazz and cinema influence of 1970s/1980s slasher/crime films with harsh sub-hardcore hostility and post-industrial tension. As if The Great Gatsby was re-scored by the outlanders in The Hills Have Eyes, GRIDFAILURE creator David Brenner weaves an environment of beats, bass, guitars, keys, field recordings, and unhinged vocal savagery, while MAC GOLLEHON’s explosive trumpet, trombone, cornet, and didgeridoo contributions slash through the carnage with filmic intensity. The album was created throughout the 2020 quarantine, recorded and mixed by Brenner at The Compound in Rockland County with GOLLEHON’s material captured in multiple stairwells of his building in Staten Island. The album was mastered by Dan Emery at Black Matter Mastering (Kool Keith, Lost Dog Street Band, Thetan), with art, design, visuals, and videos created by Brenner.

With the “Transient Fault” single, GOLLEHON describes the song as, “Drone tones, network breakdown, discordant components. Butterflies swarm the medical debris in search of warmth in the humid dawn quicksand as you can feel the comfort blanket of overhead powerlines remaining transient within the attrition.”

Brenner writes, “The consuming bleakness that permeates our pandemic lockdown despair is here delivered in a multi-disorienting concept, as the circuits trip and the faultline ruptures internally, the darkest recesses are exposed. This is the precursor for the album track ‘El Temblor’ which relays the tale in Spanish, which here harbingers, ‘From Below. Destruction. Implosion. Worlds collide. Civilization plummets. Eradication. The Grid fails. Drain the life from this depraved society. Grant us access to your subterranean tomb. El Temblor. The earthquake.”

With the premiere of the track’s disorienting video, Cvlt Nation writes, “This song will seep into the dark places of your mind and spread all over. Imagine the planet called noise was overtaken by the planet called free jazz on acid... watching this will expand your mind and might give you nightmares in the daytime. On the real GRIDFAILURE and MAC GOLLEHON coming together makes sense because they both represent an altered state of freedom.”

Let GRIDFAILURE and MAC GOLLEHON’s “Transient Fault” tear a hole in your firmament via Cvlt Nation now at THIS LOCATION.

Nefarious Industries will release Dismemberment Cabaret on May 21st across all digital providers and in a limited Flamingo Meth cassette run. Find merch bundles and more where videos for “Roaming Blackouts” and “Crime Scene Designers” are playing HERE.

Watch for additional videos and more to see release over the weeks ahead, and live collaborations to transpire post-plague. Nefarious Industries will also release the new LP from MAC GOLLEHON & THE HISPANIC MECHANICS and additional GRIDFAILURE titles following the release of Dismemberment Cabaret.

Anybody who has heard Billy Ocean’s “Get Outta My Dreams, Get Into My Car,” Blondie’s The Hunter, or Onyx’s Slam is familiar with the work of world-renowned NYC trumpet player MAC GOLLEHON, who has toured and recorded with an endless roster of rock, pop, and jazz artists since the 1970s. Having performed on over two-hundred gold and platinum albums, having spent a decade in Duran Duran, and more, he’s recorded with David Bowie, Madonna, Chaka Khan, Buddy Rich, Al Jarreau, Sheena Easton, Mick Jagger, Grace Jones, Hector Lavoe, and hundreds of others. GOLLEHON has released eight solo albums since the late 1990s. In recent years, his primary outlet has been with his ever-morphing MAC GOLLEHON & THE HISPANIC MECHANICS, in addition to contributing other to experimental collaborations and performances.

GRIDFAILURE is the unpredictable and confrontational audiovisual experiment of creator David Brenner which yields dense, apocalyptic output with foundational elements bastardized from the realms of dark ambient and dark hardcore, and manifested with elements of jazz, world music, folk, harsh noise, electronica, punk, and more. Operating solo or with a cast of collaborators, both on record and on stage, since its 2016 inception the project has amassed dozens of independent releases, including collaborations with Rack, Megalophobe, Walking Bombs, Christian Molenaar, and others, split releases with Chrome Waves, Never Presence Forever, and others, and much more. GRIDFAILURE is progressively releasing its five-album Sixth Mass-Extinction Skulduggery concept series through Nefarious over several years.

Review copies of Dismemberment Cabaret are now available. For interviews and all press inquiries on MAC GOLLEHON and GRIDFAILURE contact dave@earsplitcompound.com.
