ear Reunited Rimfrost’s Horror/Slasher-Themed EP ‘The Rise of Evil: Killer Instinct’

Swedish black metal act Rimfrost reunited last year after splitting in 2019. The trio is now ready to go full throttle with a two-track EP that depicts the story of a killer. “Killer Instinct,” the first of the two tracks (but the final one from the tale), was released in October 2021. Now, the Swedish horde has unleashed both the tracks under The Rise of Evil: Killer Instinct moniker on 06 January 2022.

Rimfrost informs:
“When we started to write music for the comeback, we really didn’t know what we wanted to write about, but we quickly felt that we wanted and that we should continue on the horror path from ‘Expedition: Darkness’ since we all are huge horror fans, especially, we all share some extra love for 70´s-80´s slasher/zombie horror.

“After some discussions back and forth, we decided to create our own storyline that runs over 2 singles with our own made-up killer with inspiration from Michael Myers, Jason Vorhees, Leatherface, and all those classic killers. The story starts with ‘The rise of Evil’ (to be released later) and ends with ‘Killer Instinct.’ It all ended up as ‘The Rise of Evil: Killer Instinct,’ and we are very happy and proud of how it all turned out!”

Italy's BURIAL resurfaces from the beyond with their first full length album, blending moments of sheer death metal aggression and horrific, funerous doomy passages. Enter the horror!

Burial is a Swe/Fin influenced Death/Doom band from Italy. Formed in 2012 by Leonardo but the first things were recorded only in 2016, when Enrico joined the band on vocals. "The Forgotten" Ep was released in 2019 and soon after a new Demo titled “Presence From The Beyond” which showed the first progressions in the band's songwriting.
In 2020 the band signed with Everlasting Spew Records for the release of the first full length with a new lineup featuring Leonardo on guitars, Enrico on bass and vocals, Samuele on drums and Morgan as supporting guitars.

The most unholy and filthy communion of 2022!
US demons Ritual Necromancy return after 5 years joining forces with upcoming death metal titans Fossilization for 28 minutes of Death Metal darkness!

RITUAL NECROMANCY was formed in 2007 with one goal in mind, to embody hellish and extreme death metal.
Following the 2011 release of 'Oath of the Abyss' and the 'Void Manifest' Ep, we had Ritual's first European appearances at Kill-Town DeathFest and a European tour with Canada's Mitochondrian and Auroch, as well as another U.S. tour with Bolzer. As the grave dirt settled, the band spent the next four years conjuring the barbarity and morbidity necessary to create their 2nd full length 'Disinterred Horror' in 2018, release that took them touring Europe.
Now, in 2022, the tomb has opened once more and the primordial violence of Ritual Necromancy has been brought to the fore again.

FOSSILIZATION is a death metal band formed in 2020. The duo featuring members of the sludge/death/doom metal band Jupiterian, V. (voices, guitars, bass) and P. (drums) started as an idea right after their european tour with Krypts, Father Befouled and Encoffination but since Jupiterian was still working on their last album, the project had to be delayed and it only turned to full time band after the striking of the plague.
Critically acclaimed for their debut EP 'He Whose Name Was Long Forgotten’ released by Everlasting Spew Records and soon available on vinyl as well, they are now back with 2 new tracks

Welcome to the sci-fi world of NEEDLESS. On “The Cosmic Cauldron”, the band’s second album, the Hungarian death metallers offers a ten-track sci-fi concept album featuring the story of an astronaut who grants an unbearable gift from an entity, which is beyond our universe. A relic, a framework, a godly being out of this world: The Cosmic Cauldron.

A nearly one-hour-long musical journey where the young quintet explores their explosive mix of melodic death metal, progressive structures, and complex narratives. Featuring the gorgeous voice of Martina Horvath from Thy Catafalque on the track “Planet Oblivion” and with otherworldly cover art designed by Mark Cooper (Rings Of Saturn, Master, Malevolent Creation), “The Cosmic Cauldron” is metal of the 21st Century on earth with an eye in space.

Needless was founded during the winter of 2004 in Dánszentmiklós, Hungary. The band started as a home project, and slowly evolved into an active group for the year 2014. Their music basically consists of traditional elements of melodic thrash and death metal with the atmospheric side of black metal with some progressive elements.

All mixed up into a fierce blend of aggression and ferocity, with mythical themes and nihilistic contemplations about humankind in the lyrics. In 2015 the band came up with their first accountable release called “The Dark Spirit of Ages” EP, which received critically positive feedback. After its release, Needless did several shows in its home country with bands like Aggression, Nervosa, Nuclear, Dew-Scented, and Flotsam And Jetsam. In 2021 they signed to UPRISING! Records and produced their second album “The Cosmic Cauldron” at No Silence Studios, Hungary, with István Simon taking care of the productions, mix, and mastering.
 
“The Cosmic Cauldron” will be re-released on CD and digital via UPRISING! Records on January 7th, 2022.

The biggest hits till now include “Borderless Metal” and “Endless Horizon”. “Endless Horizon” has garnered over 10,000 plays on Spotify and counting. This particular single shows off the band’s signature style – neat riffs, playful melodies, modern drumbeats, and expressive vocals.

Their versatility is evident in their songs. Listeners will often hear a clear swing and jazz influence in some of the tracks. After traveling for several performances around Europe, the members have also incorporated foreign cultures into their songs to make them more diverse and attract a wider fanbase.

Supreme Court - "Been a While"

"Been a While" was released in the summer of 2021. The album has had an overall warm welcome in reviews (Metal Temple: "Almost perfect!") and with listeners alike. Now, on probably the commercially most stupid day of the year (24.12.21), Supreme Court is releasing their second music video from Been a While's hard-hitting song "Straight to the Source". The video portrays the glamour of the underground rock band's gigging. Quite realistically, actually.

The first video release from Been a While was from the song First Bite. A one-take video takes in SC's rehearsal space A.K.A. Trehny Campbell. That one's worth a watch also.
